BANANA BOAT TO THE MOON features pop versions of 21 original musical theatre songs performed by eight extraordinarily talented, charismatic, professional young actor-singers, ages 8-17.
These eight young entertainers have thrilled audiences with the same songs onstage Off-Broadway at the Fildwith Ensemble Theatre in New York City, in musicals written by Erika Stadtlander (book, music, lyrics). www.fildwith.com
The eight kids are:
Katie Henney, Lizzie Henney, Patrick Henney, Jackson Hinden, Ariel Marcus, Eric Nelsen, Patrice Alyssa Roth, Tim Webster Sacca.
Also featured is talented young guest artist, Tess Soltau, an adult actress who has also performed with the Fildwith Ensemble Theatre.
Music and lyrics for all 21 songs were written by Fildwith Ensemble Theatre’s Founding Artistic Director and Resident Playwright-Composer, ERIKA STADTLANDER.
Each expressive, inspiring selection tells a story, sets an uplifting mood, shines light on a fresh new perspective - or is just a whole lotta fun to sing and dance along with!
Musicians include incredible ION IONESCU (piano), marvelous MARK FOGEL (acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass), and super producer BORIS PEROVIC.
KATIE HENNEY performs lead vocals on: Friend of My Dreams Come True, It’s Safer in Cyberspace, Queen Bee, A Girl Named Madelaine, Money Won’t Give You the Moon, and A Thousand Shades of Gray. author: Sara GuttermanEach song is better than the next. Engaging, positive and fun for all ages. Your children will want to listen to this over and over again. The best compilation since "Free to Be You and Me." Children will keep these songs in the hearts forever.
Hits all the right notes!
author: MamaRosieMy children, 8 & 9 years old, are at the age where they have outgrown babyish music made for kids. This CD hits all the right notes for their age, (& mine too.) They especially love to listen to it in the car or at night as they're getting ready for bed. The performers on this CD sound so pure--not like all the computerized versions of kid singers that are out now.
