Born in 1973, Stanley Porter grew up in one of Boston's roughest neighborhoods. "There used to be dead bodies in the hallways...the playground had crack vials in the dirt and bullet shells in the sand". Stanley credits his survival to his "mother and the hand of God".
Before giving his life and music to Christ, Stanley was an up and coming hip hop artist. After his spiritual transformation, he decided to write and produce strictly gospel music. This album, No Turning Back, is a mixture of rap and song: something for everyone. Although the album is diverse in it's selections, one thing remains the same: a "keep it real" attitude and an admiration for God's ability to look beyond a person's faults and see their potential.
