Album Notes

Gregor Southardlives and works in Nashville, Tennessee as Production Manager for the internationally known performance hall The Ryman Auditorium. His poetry is often described "beautiful and insightful." His main influences are CS Lewis, GK Chesterton, and Martin Luther. Poets include William Wordsworth, William Blake, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and Robert Frost. The song contributions to this cd are varied. Angie Broberg is a Nashville based country singer whose voice adds incredible beauty to the song "Don't You See?" John Dowell's style is reminiscent of Rich Mullins, Brian Gavron reminds me early Dan Fogelberg or James Taylor, and Jim Worthing's contribution is a great ACM song. The songs, journal entries, and poems form a month long journal of a man searching for the mercy and grace of God. My husband and I sat down one Sunday morning with cups of hot coffee and an hour to spare. The coffe was forgotten and left cold as we listened intently to this new work. The profound truths shared through word and song stirred our souls and reminded us of who we are and Who we belong to. Thought provoking conversation followed. This genre is new, different and exciting. We look forward to more from this amazing poet and his friends. Marnie
