notes
This album is a collaboration between the sixteen-year-old Sophie Auster and the One Ring Zero musicians Michael Hearst and Joshua Camp. The lyrics of the songs were written by Sophie herself, by Paul Auster, by some of the great French poets of the twentieth century, and by an anonymous Englishman who lived over five hundred years ago. The first recording sessions took place in October 2003; the last in June 2004. Now seventeen, Sophie Auster is a high school senior in New York.

I thoroughly enjoyed this CD.Such a mature voice for such a young artist!
author: W.P.McLaughlinAs in the synopsis above;what I found so notable about this CD was the maturity of the artist's voice. In particular the track "The last Poem" is a very "haunting" melody. I am familiar with OneRingZero but this is an altogether different experience."Le Pont Mirabeau" is notable in that although there is quite a french influence to the CD this is the only track sung in French.
