"Radio" : The first studio release in six years of Austrias no. 1 contemporary blues band, "Sir" Oliver Mally's Blues Distillery, serves us a strong cocktail of blues mixed with various styles like chill-out, lounge, rock 'n roll, pop.... if it's possible? Yes, it is! You'll find tasty and fanciful arrangements as well as powerful live performances. And the whole blend sounds like it was the most natural thing on earth to do.but as the liner-notes say : "Blues is like vodka. You can mix it up with almost anything -- you just gotta know how to do it".

The man is genius!!
author: D.H.I have all of SOBD's cds from Wild Streak (1996) to Radio (2007) and each title is exceptional, including Blue Raindrops (1998), Live and Lost at the Labyrinth (1999), and Bulletproof (2001, all available at CD Baby - I had to buy Wildstreak directly from ATS-Records in Austria, which cost quite a bit based on the dollar's value, but worth every U.S. penny. As Oliver says: "you can mix it [blues] up with almost anything -- you gotta know how to do it." Well Oliver knows how, and has been doing it exceedingly well for quite some time now. I strongly recommend the purchase of any SOBD cd avaialble here - his earlier work is more traditionally blues based. This man is Austria's Bugs Henderson.
