Sole Society is Lori and Gene Koebler. A husband and wife team with a strong commitment to the Christian faith, we have chosen and [been chosen] to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the universal language of music. With the release of our debut CD "Off the Fence" Sole Society blends familiar styles of melodic rock with a strong sensitivity toward the art of songwriting. We feel if a song can be carried on acoustic guitar or piano it will hold up to any style of production. Those who have heard this CD consider it a "work of art," we hope you will too. With a catalog of over 75 songs composed much work is still ahead with future releases.

"Off the Fence" has a full ensemble sound consisting of guitars, bass and drums. At the foundation of "our sound" is our approach to vocals which is reminiscent at times of the Beatles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Simon and Garfunkel to name a few. Musical influences include the same as well as pink floyd, todd rundgren, pretenders and others. Not that we sound like any of them but you can pick out things here and there that will make you feel at home. Gene and Lori are worship leaders at the Glen Cove Christian Church in Glen Cove, New York and have been for the past 3 years. We believe that music is a powerful vehicle for prayer, praise, worship and meditation. Our lyrics are psalm like in that they reflect the struggles of surrender that we all know well and that only through Jesus can we even imagine victory.
