notes
A rock drummer from Portland, Oregon turned DJ and breakbeat enthusiast, Seth Norman has been composing and producing his own music electronically for 6 years. His work has been licensed for numerous compilations, radio play, and multimedia performance from coast to coast.
The Concatenation E.P. is his debut independent release, filled with thick sonic texture, sweeping melody and an engrossing atmosphere. It is inspired equally by hip hop, turntablism, and drum 'n bass as it is by film soundtracks, metal, jazz and funk. Sounds from myriad styles and eras of music all adorn the same aural paintbrush.
As a collection of songs that have consistently drawn attention for their moving, sentimentally powerful tone and complex composition, Concatenation reflects a passion for emotional expression and release in art. author: Alex Ross-IverI spent 11 month in USA and all this time I was trying to find a Musicians who writes melow/talanted music. stop buying shit like Dj (add any shitty popular slut on TV) - SETH NORMAN IS THE ONE YOU NEED
An immaculately produced labyrinth of aural architecture
author: Ed ThanhouserSeth Norman's music show's a deep sensitivity to the subtlety and the craft of soundscape engineering. Each track opens sprawling, intricate worlds of impossibly well-hijacked samples, masterful programming and a deft sense of production. For an individual, independant effort, this is a tremendously accomplished release. Furthermore, in my opinion, this is only a hint of the greatness we will be seeing from Seth Norman in the years to come.
