A distinctive voice, subtle lyrics, and a fiercely independent style define the music of Virginia singer-songwriter SARAH WHITE. Her sound spans folk, pop and country, surrendering to the conventions of none while espousing the beauty of all. Highly skilled as a vocalist and guitarist, Sarah won Best Song at the 2007 Mountain Stage NewSong Contest for her song "Sweetheart", which serves as the title-track for her latest EP. Her unique sound has caught the ear of bandleader Dave Matthews:
