  • Asskicking hardcore
    author: John Sotiropoulos

I love listening to music that not alot of people have heard before. It's rare, but every once in awhile I find something like SMP that just kicks ass. For awhile I thought my band was Aphex Twin, but lately I've got tired of it. SMP is my new band. I'd like to see more bands like this that really care about their music AND actually do it well.

  • SMP is back!
    author: The Industrial Factory

SMP’s second full length album further cements their standing as one of the most exciting bands as they fuse precise programming, driving rhythms, inventive samples, and a strong hip-hop influence. This is what Consolidated could have been had they stuck with the formula from "Tool and Die." Instead, SMP, led by Jason Bazinet, pick up the pieces of industrial-hip-hop which were left behind by Consolidated, Meat Beat Manifesto, and Pop Will Eat Itself, and gives it the kick in the ass it needed. Check out tracks like "Militia Love," "Nil Factor," and the album’s best track, "Electric Prod" and see for yourself why SMP is one of the most underrated acts in the underground electro-industrial genre.
