Hello, I am Derek Smith. I enjoy writing, recording, and performing with the hope that something about my music will move someone. I hope you enjoy the songs that I write and that something about at least one of them causes you to laugh, smile, cry, or even to be angry if that's the emotion it invokes. One of the most important reasons for writing music, as far as I'm concerned, is to give back some of the inspiration that has been given to me through the music that I love to listen to.
