“Musical innovation,” “icon of the youth,” “voice of a generation,” are some of the phrases that best describe the “Rock en Español” artist, Skapulario. With a musical foundation in ska, the band formed in Puerto Rico in 1992. With its witty and creative lyrics and the energy that has come to characterize them, Skapulario immediately captured an audience.
Skapulario has continued to garner fan and critical success with its high energy performances with artists such as Café Tacuba, Los Pericos, Miguel Bosé, Desorden Público, La Ley, Fito Paez, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and Aterciopelados.
Their previous albums: “Vida en Espiral,” “Skapulario,” “Paranoico” and “Animal” have produced such hits as “Duerme a Tu Hermanito,” “Criatura de la Noche,” “Bien o Mal,” “Hoy No Estas,” and “Púdrete.” Their fifth full-length production, “Hoy,” includes the radio hits “Eres Veneno” and “Nada Se Compara.”

Estupendo
author: LuisPocas veces se encuentra a un artista con la habilidad de preservar la esencia de sus origines (aquí, el ska) y fusionarlo con ideas nuevas y contemporáneas para crear algo mejor que la suma de las partes independientes. Eso es lo que logra Skapulario en su nueva producción "HOY". Aunque un poco más agresivos y más pulidos musicalmente, su sentido del humor y rítmos alegres hacen de este un disco que es totalmente "Skapulario".
