notes
In the spring of 2006, Matt Gagas, Matt Brescia, Mike Daw, Andrew McGrory, and Jason Turnier formed Six to Sundown. The ensuing months were devoted to writing and rehearsing the songs that would become their debut album, Riot Versailles. This independent endeavor was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered in their own studio using Protools LE, Roland V-Drums, and a Line 6 Podxt Pro. After more than a year in production, Riot Versailles was released in May 2007. In an effort to capture chaos contained in beauty, each of the eleven tracks on Riot Versailles wields its own sound and theme designed to give the listener a snapshot picture of the essence of human drama. Woven together, these songs create a window by which audiences can see the complexities of human existence. During production, Six to Sundown played regularly at bars and clubs on Long Island and in New York City. The energy of their live shows, combined with tireless promotion, was designed to garner a solid fan base while generating notoriety within and around other bands on the scene. Now, the band is poised to take on the challenge of playing to bigger and more discerning audiences in support of Riot Versailles.

Cutting edge music with a twist of self reflection
author: TomThis is a really well written and insightful album. I have seen these guys live two times this past year and am really impressed with what they have done. The dueling vocals and awesome lyrics really make the songs enjoyable on a longer timeline and I always find something subtle and new every time I listen. I highly recommend it!
