notes
Shredding vocals, gripping lyrics, innovative bass lines, dynamic beats, and vintage rock guitars are the meat and potatoes of SixFootSavage's self-titled, debut album.
An electric, passionate rock album, SFS, is capable of leaving listeners fired up and inspired. SixFootSavage is as pure and emotional as it gets. This is an album with it's roots in old school rock, but its claws in the now.
With thick layers of instrumentation fronted by Savage's trademark powerfull, in-your-face vocals, and the provocative combination of rock and world-influences, SFS
combines the intensity of Janis Joplin with the soul of Gwen Stefani. All while crafting a tightly produced, hook-laden rock album appealing to indie, funk, folk, and pop fans alike.
"Savage has a voice reminiscent of Ann Wilson, the lead singer of the band Heart - powerful, but full of emotion."
- Ritzy Ryciak, Queen Anne/Magnolia News 11/24/04
SFS is Jennifer Savage (vocals, guitar, flute), Jeremiah Crane (bass, vocals), Michael "Flip" Williams (guitar, vocals), and Wes Pererson (drums, vocals). SFS's debut album, SixFootSavage was recorded at Jam-A-Lot Studios with Johnny Burk (Super Sonic Soul Pimps) and mixed/mastered at Synergy Productions with Jason Shavey who has worked with Heart, Alice in Chains, and Queensryche.

Fantastic
author: VincentGreat album with a great balance between voice and instruments, passionate and authentic lyrics.
SixFootSavage has created a polished, well-produced album. Definitely worth kee
author: John Larson, The Tacoma WeeklySixFootSavage plays middle of the road rock-not too hard, not too soft. Guitarist Michael "Flip" Williams lays down tasteful solos that compliment the songs, rather than trying to overwhelm them. Good examples are found on "Utopia" and "Piece Of Shoe." The band adds a few extras to the typical guitar/bass/drums format. Savage plays flute on a few numbers. Many of the songs have layers of instrumentation with interesting results for the listener. The leadoff track, "Antidote," has a radio-friendly, alternative rock feel. Savage's vocals get a bit of soul at times on Utopia." On "Agent 11" Savage sounds like a woman who gets what she wants. "ProcrastiNation" has a certain intense feeling. It is almost hypnotic. This is a poished, well-produced album, and definitely a band worth keeping an eye on.
