can he get any better?
author: bill dennehyI have bought all three cds by Jae Sinnett offered here and can't decide which one is my favorite. His drumming is crisp and clean, propels his fellow bandmates and makes me want to get up and DANCE!(not that I can dance mind you). This album has some killer playing by Steve Davis on alto and soprano (his solo on track 2 is fantastic). All the sidemen here are great and there isn't a dud track on this album. Why isn't this guy and this band for that matter playing Montreux I'll never know. HIGHLY recommended, just a joy to listen to. BUY IT!
Raw,Exciting and Genuine!!!!!! TMS RECORDS
author: Ty Marquis Smith {Recording Artist}Palpitation, Side Stepping, and 7 day's were my favorite. This album is just the truth!!!!! The arrangements are impeccable as well as fresh. Jae's offbeat drum explosions should be the drummers bible as to why drummers should emerge into the rudiments, from the paradiddle to the 9 stroke roll!!!!I love the horn arrangement in Side Stepping, they're warm and musically unorthrodox because of the harmonizing that is going on between the trumpet and the sax.Palpitation is funky with that L.A. type rythme that's rockin the hell out of your neck!!!!!! THE SINNETT HEARINGS IS THE BEST ALBUM THAT HAS CAME OUT OF VIRGINA, EXCLUDING ANYBODY OR ANY GENRE OF MUSIC!!!!!
Bumping
author: Clarence GolbourneGreat sounding CD. I love the syncopation and improvisation from all the musicians playing. This CD is Bumping!
Incredible compositions - what JAZZ is all about
author: B. E. BrodenThis is the most stylistically innovative set of compositions I've heard in quite some time. The rhythm variations keeps it interesting while the melodies & harmonies completely capture the imagination. Incredible, just incredible!
What a surprise!
author: R BlandThis was a joy to listen to. This hopefully will have national distribution and reviews. Easy to listen to beginning to end. Not just one style. Sidemen given much lattitude.
A Must Have CD
author: Michael McDanielEach CD by Sinnet gets better and better, great writing, great use of his side musicians and great choice of tunes. I am never dissapointed after buying his recordings.
