Wanting to create media that would simultaneously entertain the family and teach children the substantive materials of the standards of learning, these individuals united to develop a cutting edge approach to children’s educational media.

SILLY BUS INTRODUCES A NEW KID’S EDUCATIONAL MUSIC CD
Richmond, Va. –April 15, 2006
Silly Bus is en route to make a stop near you! The educational media creation group based in Richmond VA is taking children's education to the next level with the release of their new full length CD. The much anticipated recording is hot off the press and will be available to the public on April 15, 2006.
By combining the essential concepts of the standards of learning with catchy and fun melodies, the Silly Bus creative team has developed a unique way to integrate educational information into music. In the near future, they will embark on a project to incorporate their educational music into a video to be released in the summer of 2006.
Children and parents are giving the CD rave reviews, and its educational content is garnering the attention of teachers, administrators, and education professionals. Dr. John Lewis II, Ed.D. writes,
“Educators and Instructional Designers have long known the predictive influence that interest and motivation have on learning outcomes. And music can create interest in a subject if it connects with the musical tastes of today's children. From the roots of American History and the strength of our Diversity, to the fundamentals of English, Math, and Science -- Silly Bus introduces us to key Standard of Learning topics through the radio-ready beats of rock, rap, and the blues. Finally, an educational sing-a-long for children and their parents!”
The creative team members are experienced professionals from the music and film industries, and they have worked with some of the biggest names in their respective fields. The live performance group has shared the stage with well known acts including Huey Lewis and the News, Switchfoot, Cyndi Lauper, Sugar Ray, and Vanessa Carlton. Their songs appeared on MTV, Discovery Kids, and a compilation CD that included Dave Matthews. The visual production staff worked on films released by Dream Works, Disney, Castle Rock, Universal, and Warner Bros. The cumulative experience and vision that the team brings to Silly Bus is sure to win viewers and listeners alike.
Red Cactus Films recently licensed the Silly Bus song, “Eagle on the Wind,” to be used in the new film release “Middle of the Road.”
Through their innovative educational media, Silly Bus aims to reach 100,000 kids in 2006.

Parallels School Curriculum
author: Leigh M.This is a really fun way to reinforce school learnings for my 1st grader. She doesn't even realize it because she has so much fun dancing and singing along to the songs. "Earth and Sun" even helped out on one of her Science tests this year!
Kids music thats not annoying
author: Joe TurnerMy kids love this music. After many other songs repeated infinitely in the stereo, I don't mind these being repeated. They are basic in nature for the kids, but intelligent enough for adults to enjoy.

Silly Bus is no laughing matter
author: Sean FarleyI have a 5 year old daughter and am constantly subjected to the sounds of the Wiggles and the Doodlebops. While they are good for kids, adults can't really enjoy them. When this CD came along, I had finally found something I could put in the CD player and not pull my hair out when listening to it. The songs are fun for both children and their parents and as a bonus, educate the children that listen to them. I recommend this CD to anyone that has young ones.
