AWESOMENESS
author: meghanhey JJ, i just got back from Castawat i heard you sing you were awesome... i talked to you a lil but im not sure if you remeber me ..... i really hope that i can see you sing again... i brought the CD home and it just wasnt the same as hearing you sing on stage. your so sincere on stage. i think that the sond good advice (on Only the Bony) is the best song it really explians how i feel about my life Ur awesome too bad all younglife kids cant hear you sing Sincerely Meghan
Best New Music I've Heard in a While
author: Robert R.Tumblehome is probably my all time favorite cd!The way JJ fuses the words with the guitar is wonderful.As a musician myself I can really appreciate what a great cd this is.Northeast Ohio will be anxiously waiting for JJ to preform here.

The music really is real ... it is written beautifully and performed beautifully as well. anyways as my title says, when you know the story behind the song, it just makes it all that more real. like only the bony (on cd 'only the bony' haha) ... the fact that its about jj being adopted just brings me to tears. Not the typical Holy spirit chills, like how your body feels like it falls asleep and then wakes up really quickly. More like when you are driving on a summer night, with your windows down, and the night feels like night should, Tracy Chapman comes on singing "Fast Car" and God seems so real. The lyrics and melodies are captivating. The performances are flawless yet earthy. Easily the best CD I've heard in many, many years!
haunting lyrics put to catchy bluegrass guitar
author: Matt BrowningThis is the first CD from the Sidehill Winders, but I have had a chance to hear them in person a number of times and they have much more up their sleeves... the greatest thing about them, is that they are very stripped down and precise... this is because they write and perform music because they love it and they way is attends to the real needs of life and props us up in a way nothing else can... that comes through in a very haunting way on this CD... enjoy it
