With influences ranging from Beethoven to Fiona Apple, Sheri Miller creates beautiful yet edgy swirling soundscapes with her sensual, soulful voice and wise lyrics. Recorded in a gorgeous studio overlooking a blue crystalline lake hidden away in the deep forests of Connecticut in 2007, a bit of magic happened. I saw Sheri a few years back as part of a multiple performer showcase. In just a few songs, her intimacy with the audience was palpable. I felt like she was singing just to me; goosebumps were easily born. I've seen her a few times since and her singing and songwriting is only getting better and better. There's a message, a sincerity, and an edge not found on most performers in her genre. But nothing I say will convince you more than a few listens on your own. She shows the ability to play many styles in excellent form, and is reminiscent of some of my favorites - Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow, KT Tunstall & more.
