From 1976-2006, Englishman and the Shangoband have remained popular on the Reggae scene locally, nationally, and internationally. As a session recording and live performing band (Artist). Englishman and the Shangoband are no strangers to the entertainment business. Over the past several years; they have performed at various functions throughtout the world.The shango Band has performed on stage with many great artist such as, Ras Michael, Mikey Dread, The Itals, Isreal Vibration, Eric Donaldson, Gregory Issacs, Toots, Culture, Don Carlos and Black Uhuru to name a few. Beautiful harmonious sounds fill each venue with strong spiritual messages conveyed each time you experience this magical performance. Singing about real life, past and current world issues coupled with an enjoyable combination of smooth lover's edge tunes mixed with harder more heartfelt "true" roots tunes. Shangobands all encompassing sounds is compossed with a very strong instrumental backing along with thoughtful, truthful, and righteous song writhing.
