notes

Shams began his musical journey at the age of 5 when his parents introduced him to a keyboard. His eastern culture and western environment encouraged an exotic blend of contemporary composition that mesmerized his listeners. The teachings of spirituality and the stimulating melodies were a perfect unison, which promised the emergence of an evolving artist.

Shams’ recent accomplishments include the release of "City of Light", a collection of cultural music and "Messages: Notes from the Soul" - a re-mixed compilation of Ginans originally composed by Pirs (Saints) in the 14th century; an innovative approach to spiritual music.

Shams has performed at several events including the Cultural and Arts program held in Atlanta, GA in 2001. His compositions are still used in other Cultural and Arts programs held in Houston, Dallas, and other cities. Other events include weddings, charity concerts, and other community events with audiences of 1,000 or more.

Shams' original compositions usually have a theme comprising of music that utilize wind and string instruments with percussions that originate from the middle east, central asia, and the west.

  • Best Fusion album
    author: SQAN

I purchased this album after listening to three samples and reading the 5-star reviews. This is the best Fusion album. The music is riveting, innovative, vibrant, motivating, and intricate. Excellent rhythm, drum and percussion! I enjoyed the album and its unique sound and gave several copies as Christmas gifts to relatives and work colleagues.

This CD is worth every dollar I spent on it! A must buy...

  • Great Music!
    author: Anu Majumdar

A friend of mine recommended me to buy this CD, and I must say that it is one of the best instrumental CDs that I have heard in a very long time. The songs are all beautiful, and although gelled together, they are different from one another and unique in their own way. This is definitely a must-own CD for folks who like listening to new age or instrumental music.

  • Epic in nature, tragic in parts, soulful in entirety
    author: Tom Dennis

The music on this CD moves like a story. I felt transported to this world of fantasy, but I realized as the music played on, that I was the one writing the story in my mind. Shams, without question, is an artist of talent par brilliancy!

  • Beautiful Music
    author: Musically Yours

It's sad and tragic that CDs with great potential and beautiful music such as this do not get enough airplay on our airwaves, and that we have to deal with mediocre, repetetive and redundant material from artists that spend millions of dollars on videos and marketing campaigns. I wish and hope that radio stations can sit up and take note of CDs like The Evolution of Creation and bring them to mainstream audiences.

  • WOW!
    author: Sara Miller

I came across this CD by mistake. It seemed to be intriguing and so I bought it. I've had it for only a couple of days now, but I've listened to it over 5 times already. It is unique in its own manner, but has music that is so spiritual (for lack of a better word) and relaxing. Everytime I hear this CD, I feel not only like I'm listening to a story, but living in one.

  • Great CD!!!

  • Beautiful, Epic and Breathtaking!
    author: George Johannson

Seldom in life do you stumble upon music that is so epic in nature, peaceful and relaxing to listen to, and that takes your breath away by weaving a story based only on instrumentation and no lyrics whatsoever. The Evolution of Creation is that kind of music...

  • Amazing! One of the best New Age albums in Recent times!
    author: Feroz Ali Meghani

I'd heard Shams' earlier album - "Messages: Notes from the Soul" - and had enjoyed it immensely. Well, Shams has gone on to outdo himself with his new release, "The Evolution of Creation". I wouldn't be over-exaggerating if I said that this is one of the best New Age albums to come out in recent times. With melodies that are sweet to the ears, and with instrumentation that is reminicsent of a nature peppered with landscapes only found in fantasies and dreams, Shams proves his mettle with music that demands to be heard over and over again! If you're a fan of Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Amethystium and Enigma, you'll definitely enjoy Shams' "The Evolution of Creation".

  • In a word "WOW"
    author: Murad Kheraj

Shams has created a CD with a mix of New Age and Hindi/Indian styles that is unique. I have listened to A.R. Rahman, Yanni, and Exchange, and find Shams' style to have a unique blend of all these masters. If you are in the mood for an upbeat, soulful, enlightening music, you have found it here.

  • Tremendous!!!
    author: Anthony Owens

Wow! This is tremendous music with a variety of rhythms... definitely a mood enhancer... and I blindly bought this CD!!!

  • Great Music!
    author: Behzad Kekobad

I usually do not listen this kind of music - new age music to be exact. I bought this CD upon recommendation from a friend and was immensely impressed by this work. This is a great CD to be listening to while relaxing or working.

  • Absolutely Phenomenal and Unique
    author: K. Halani

To say I love the CD is an understatement! It is more like I adore the CD. The compilation is a very unique yet somewhat familiar music. It combines the best of several cultures and type of music, yet falls under the New Age collection. It is entertaining, yet relaxing! This is the latest addition to my intrumental repertoire, yet the MOST listened to so far! I have lost a count on how many times I have listened to the entire CD, may be about 14-15 times already and everytime I listen to it, it evokes a different emotions within me. I loved it so much that I bought several copies as a gift. If you are going to buy one instrumental CD this year, this should be it. It also makea a good stocking stuffer this Christmas. Very unique and fun...Enjoy.
