Songs For The Inner Child is a collection of chants and lullabies, both traditional and contemporary. Sung with the gentle voice of a loving mother, the songs have proven to be healing and soothing for listeners of all ages, carrying powerful messages of affirmation and comfort. New Age keyboard artist Jim Oliver produced, and contributed instrumentally to many of the tracks. Rusty Crutcher, best known for his "Sacred Sites" series of albums, plays saxophone on "Deep Peace" Shaina's husband, Richard, contributes harmony vocals and recorder tracks.

Since the release of Songs For The Inner Child in 1992, the album has gone on to sell, to date, nearly 200,000 copies worldwide.

Things that people have shared with Shaina over the years about her songs:

Parents with children of all ages have found the songs to be a gift. They've been used to settle cranky babies and toddlers, support the self-esteem of teenagers, comfort and inspire children with disabilities or life-threatening illness. They have helped keep the parents calm as well.

A wide range of therapists, clergy and spiritual teachers have used the songs in their work, in individual and group settings. The songs have been particularly effective when used therapeutically with those in recovery from trauma or abuse, or dealing with serious illness in themselves or loved ones.

The songs have been played at weddings, births and funerals, in synagogues, and churches of many denominations. Hundreds of copies have been donated, by Shaina and others, to pediatric wards, hospice facilities, homeless shelters, shelters for victims of domestic abuse, oncology wards, and more, where the songs have proven to be of comfort and support.

"When I first released Songs For The Inner Child, it was my wish that these songs would find their way easily to those who could benefit from them. In the nearly 10 years since, there has been a, for me, remarkable process of word-of-mouth, heart-to heart sharing about this CD that has helped the songs find their way around the world. Bio:

Shaina Noll received her vocal training during the years she spent studying to be an actress. She ultimately left that path, going on to receive a master's degree in transpersonal psychology. Her music combines her gifts as a vocalist with her desire to provide music that is soothing, inspiring and uplifting. She lives a quiet life outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband (also her partner in her music business), their two children, and two dogs.

    When I first heard the song 'how could anyone' tears were just dropping down as I looked to myself in the mirror I saw myself for the first time as a beautifull being. It was like coming home to myself as if I had forgotten myself and had left me for so many years. The words and voice brought me back to sweet lovely me.

    This has to be one of the most emotional c`ds l have ever had the pleasure of buying. I heard this cd whilst on a healing course it was played to use to bring calm into the room. I was the only one in the group who had never heard it but was amazed at the response the song had on the group . A very emotive song "how can any one ever tell you". I ordered a copy the very next day and couldnt wait for it to arrive, I have played the title song to my two daughters and gave it to them with love, they think it is wonderful and we all had tears. What more can l say except thank you for your wonderful music
