notes
"Shaber's debut CD, "In The Bunker," on Brown Chair Records, is a gem, and her honeyed voice reveals a distinct Joni Mitchell influence without being imitative." - Albany Times Union
"Sam Shaber posseses the keen insight of a sage and the ability to set wisdom in motion in such a way that it becomes emotionally affecting. Hers is music that thrives on mystery and the threat of silence that lurks behind every chord change. And you'll hang on every one." - Albuquerque Weekly Alibi
"A New Yorker with a resonant, gentle but forceful acoustic guitar, an easy way with words and a sweet, clear voice with plenty of emotion behind it, something easily gauged from her album, "In The Bunker," on Roxbury-based Brown Chair Records." - New Haven Register
"Shaber's personality comes through in the work: a hard-working honest young folkie who's done the road." - Woodstock Times

I had "Straw Boy", "Caledonian Festival", and "Riddle Me" running through my head for the past couple of weeks. I'm so glad I was able to get a copy of this CD before it sold out! Can't wait to hear what Sam will do with the re-master!
