notes
SEVEN NATIONS is an independent and determined band from Orlando, Florida that has sold in excess of 150,000 copies of its numerous releases. The band has appeared on and has had their music featured on CNN's WorldBeat, the Discovery Channel's Traveler series, and ESPN's Ultimate Heavy Athletics series. In November of 2001, Seven Nations performed for the runners and staff of the New York City Marathon. The Winter Olympics came calling after that and the band did a four day and night stint there including opening for the headline act of the torch ceremony.
Equally at home in front of 40-50,000 cheering fans at an international Celtic festival, in front of 200 headbangers in a small club somewhere in the Midwest, or 1000 fans in Puerto Rico or Edinburgh, Scotland, Seven Nations has logged in more than 250,000 touring miles in its day job trying to make its less familiar music universal for old and new fans alike. This is the music that modern radio is missing out on, but the secret is out and spreading fast.
To the five-member band, that day job means being on tour 85 percent of the year, staying true to its Celtic music roots, while blending those roots effortlessly into American pop and rock. They've created a truly hybrid sound that has been virtually ignored by major record labels, but embraced big time by the band's huge audience which follows wherever the band, musically, wants to lead. And that direction can start with basic piano, guitar & vocals, bass and drums and then be implemented by highland bagpipes and fiddle.
"We are lucky," says McLeod, lead singer/songwriter and founding member of the band, "because we come from two unique cultures. We love American pop and rock and roll, but we also love our Celtic roots music. We want to touch everybody with our art," he continues, "and so far, we have been very, very fortunate."
Joining McLeod (lead vocals, highland bagpipes, keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars) in his musical vision are Crisco(drums), Scott Long (bagpipes), Dan Stacey (fiddle / step-dancing), and Struby (bass).

Celtic Rock at its Best
author: JoeThis (and everything done by this band) is the epitome of Celtic Rock. If you've found this CD, you should buy it now...you obviously have excellent taste...
Do not even hesitate - buy this CD immediately!
author: Bill KennyDo not even hesitate - buy this CD immediately! I recently was "exposed" to the Seven Nations and purchased "Pictou Sessions," "The Factory," and "Live at the Palace Theatre" in rapid succession. Once you have one, you will also need to get the others. This is one of the hottest and most individualistic groups of our time. My list of superlatives will not help as much as taking a few minutes to sample these artists - they are unique and of great talent! I love those who can take a Celtic foundation and do great things and these are among the very best. (Try the Paperboys after these!) Seven Nations has one fault - they currently don't come west for live performances! Please join me in encouraging them to do so!

If Dave Matthews grew up in Ireland and was handed some highland and uillean pipes, fiddle, mandolin and fueled by Guinness straight out of Dublin (or would that be Dewar's Scotch?), Seven Nations would be the fruit of his under-the-influence, brilliant labor. Hats off to this kick-in-the-pants band.
Amazing
author: EdI'm a huge fan of this style of music. Rendition of Amazing Grace has a wonderful sound.
Captures the amazing live Seven Nations energy
author: MatthewThe problem with studio recordings is they lack the energy that a band puts forth when onstage infront of an audience. This live album has to be the best LIVE album I know of. It captures the sound and energy of a Seven Nations show. The songs and jams that they only do on stage bring you back to your last concert and make you want the next one to come sooner.
Love this CD!!
author: TinaMy best friend has been a fan of Seven Nations for a few years..this is my first CD of theirs & I have barely stopped playing it! The music is so hard to describe but so easy to love! Makes me that much more excited about my trip to the UK this spring!
INCREDIBLE!!
author: Caeli ByrneThis CD is amazing and the live video brings it to life! I have almost worn it out! The lyrics are heartfelt and will bring out your every emotion! This band has taken the next step in their career to make a MAJOR impact in today's music. Most people haven't realized Seven Nation's new CD is available, "And Now It's Come To This." All I have to say is... Dave Matthews.. WATCH OUT!!!!!
