notes
Steve Seskin is one of the most successful writers in Nashville today.
He's an "A" list songwriter with a boatload of songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Neal McCoy, John Michael Montgomery, Kenny Chesney, Collin Raye, Peter Frampton, Waylon Jennings, Alabama, Mark Wills, and Peter Paul and Mary.
His song "Don't Laugh At Me" was a finalist for CMA "Song of the Year" in 1999, and has spurred an entire tolerance movement, launched by the Don't Laugh at Me Project.
His song, "Grown Men Don't Cry," was a number one single for Tim McGraw.
Other Seskin hits include: "I Think About You," "Life's A Dance," "No Doubt About It," "You've Got Love" and "Wrong." But Steve is also an electrifying performer.
"His voice has a natural lilt that can't be learned," writes Joel Selvin in the San Francisco Chronicle.
He's "a really exceptional talent," writes Alan Lewis in the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
And "the presentation is simple, affective, and effective," writes Jim Carnes in the Sacramento Union.
Few performers can face an audience with only an acoustic guitar and hotwire its emotions.
But that's what happens at Steve's concerts.
Steve also has distinguished himself as a recording artist.
On his records, you can hear the hits as only the writer can present them - as well as other jewels, waiting to be discovered.
Fans have been asking for twenty years for a live Steve Seskin recording. Their wait is over. Twenty-six songs, seven stories, 3 boxes of kleenex.

A talent for words like no other
author: robbyI heard Steve on XM THE VILLAGE, and thought I might like to hear more. Not only was this Live CD great, but I ordered all the others as well
Regarding Steve Seskin: Live
author: WallaceThe music is light, heavy, and all places in between. As art is supposed to do, it touches all those feelings and brings enjoyment, reflection, laughter, and tears. Great stuff.
we love this cd.
author: steve seskin livewe love this cd. we especially love the personal nature of steve's songs and his honesty that comes through. steve is very talented at observing life in a way that he can interpret for himself and put it out there for others. his honesty and genuine-ness make his music gold!!!
Steve Seskin is one of country music's finest
author: Spaghetti CakeI've been a big fan of Steve Seskin ever since "Grown Men Don't Cry", and I've seen him perform several times. He is a teriffic songwriting storyteller. This CD captures perfectly what seeing Steve perform his songs in person are like.
Excellent songwriter and singer!
author: Erin HanniganMy children and I love the message that Steve brings to each song. They are sensitive, funny and sometimes sad. Steve goes straight to the heart and makes you think.
Absultely Terrific!
author: Brian RussellI was fortunate enough to see and meet Steve at the TAXI Road Rally in LA this past November, and I bought this CD for myself at that point - then, I purchased another copy for my brother as a Christmas present. Both he and I absolutely love this CD - Steve is one of the most engaging singer/songwriters I've ever encountered. Can't wait to hear more Steve - keep up the great work!
Not to express in words
author: MartinaThis album is one of the greatest I've ever bought. I was in luck to hear and see a version of Steve Seskin's work live in Los Angeles. A great man. It would be nice to see him sometime in Germany.
Fun!
author: SnoozerGreat songwriter! Saw him live in Saratoga, CA...an absolute joy to see & hear! Really love his CD, too! Thanks, Steve!!!

author: charles greenMy wife and I listened while traveling this last weekend. We loved it and it generated some interesting discussions.
Excellent
author: NathaniaThis 2-CD set is unbelievable. It has great sound quality, and showcases the genuineness of Mr. Seskin's voice, lyrics, and musicianship. After seeing Mr. Seskin play live, this CD only makes me want to see him play live again!
Great songwriter
author: MarkusMy wife and I saw Steve Seskin live many years ago. This record captures his warm humor and great lyrical skills. We love this CD.
A Must Buy
author: Kevin ZalewskiAfter seeing Steve for the first time at the Rocky Mt. Folks Festival, his music has left a lasting impression. From what I understand he wrote and composed Everbody's Got A Mountain during the week long song school he often teaches at prior to RMFF. See him live if you have the opportunity, he's truely one of the best!!!!
So much heart and soul.
author: Dale LewisI have heard Steve Seskin's songs on the radio in the past and loved each one. What really amazed me about Steve Seskin's CD, is the emotion and soul that comes through when he performs his own songs. After hearing this cd, I prefer hearing Steve Seskin perform his own songs. A song performed by it's creator cannot be matched.
Steve Seskin delivers......
author: Lloyd KyrkSteve Seskin delivers with an awesome live cd. The music is great and the stories are especially funny. I think Steve should give up on songwriting and start stand up comedy. "It's A Jungle Out Here" is one of my favorites. Steve Seskin's "live" should be in everyones collection.
the cd arrived in only 2 days and it was awsome, beautiful and sensitive!! to my
author: Lydia JacksonI meet Steve in Palmer Alaska at Vagabond Blues a very small coffee shop, he is a inspirational and very talented individual, I hope that one day we will meet again, thanks for the wonderful songs that you write!!
Awesome! I'm driving everyone crazy, because I can't stop listening to it!
author: Sue BethuneI saw Steve for the first time at Mcmenamins on July 11th, and thought he was so talented. The live CD is like having him in my own living room, I can't stop listening to it.
Fantastic! Captures the live Seskin
author: Sandy NapelI knew it would be great, and it is. A fantastic complement to his other recordings, which tend to be also great, but oper-produced compared to his concert performances. Now I have both versions of Steve to listen to.... Thanks for making it, Steve...
