If Mary Chapin-Carpenter, Janis Ian and Joan Armatrading all sat together to write songs, this is what it would sound like. Optimistic, with a hint of tragedy and heartbreak.

HERE'S WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT SPARROWS:
"Serina Jung is a masterfully poetic songwriter whose haunting, beautiful melodies and lyrics touch the heart and mind." - Paul Gerardi / host "The Acoustic Highway Radio Program", WPRK-FM
"...unique storytelling perspective...sound fest of an album with its tales of stranded angels and life survivors. A real chameleon and an ace production.... Ageless and timely." - Bing Futch, reviewer for Ink 19 - Dark's Corner
"Although the title of the CD is 'sparrows', Serina's unique vocal style and writing have her soaring with the eagles." - Ron Feldman, Independent Producer
"Back to the basics... the way records used to be made.
Where the songs, in their most organic form, move the soul.... What a breath of fresh music !!" - Robert Wawoe, Divi Records
"Serina is so charismatic you don't' need video to see her songs come to life." - Bob Katz, Mastering Engineer, Digital Domain
"Sparrows, a wonderfully sincere journey through
a sonically and lyrically creative landscape." - David Wallace, Audio Engineer

Inspiring
author: M.S.This is a very nice acoustic cd. To me, Serina is up there with some of the greatest singer-songwriter. Nicely done!
A fragrant bouquet of ballads blending folk, jazz and rock
author: David ReichenbacherSerina Jung's Sparrows takes the listener on a journey through jazz, folk, and rock, choosing exactly the right style for the rainbow of emotions she explores. She is right up there with Tori Amos and Vienna Teng with her songwriting and poetry. I am left feeling enriched by her soulful lyrics and beautiful voice.
More hooks than a fisherman's tackle box!
author: Carl BalzamoSparrows One of the Eagles once said that you have all your life to write your first album and a year to write your second.Well it's been longer than that between albums for Serina, but it was well worth the wait! Most of these songs have excellent hooks! If you don't know what that means ask a songwriter! The first 4 songs are truly excellent!Once again there is a variety of styles, but the album is more focused than her first one was!I could do without Crash!Boom!;but that's just individual taste! The perfect album to listen to after a hard day's work! But not to be listened to as background music!Excellent album!Great voice! And oh those hooks! When I listen to "Sparrows" by Serina Jung her vocal range and lyric message gives me strength---emotional strength. Serina's voice is powerful yet it is also soft as a sparrow-moineau
