Sean Miguel Thompson aka Sean T. was born in Palo Alto, CA at Stanford Hospital. Raised in the rough streets of East Palo Alto in the Gardens district. Brought up in a family of musicians, Sean T. started his career as a DJ back in 1989. Then he was introduced to the industry and began producing.
In 1992, Sean T. Released his first project as a member of a group called M.O.G. on Murder One Records. Then followed up in 1993 with the solo release called, "Straight from the Streets" also on Murder One Records.
These two albums gave him credibility in the bay area for production and rap skills. From there on he went on to produce songs for artists such as E-40, The Game, Mac Dre, South Central Cartel, Tha Dogg Pound, The Outlaws, Spice 1, B-Legit, WC & Juvenile just to name a few.
In 1996, he later released his sophomore solo album, "Pimp Lyrics & Dollar Signs" under the label Young Gotti Records. This album reignited the flame from the early 90's and created a real good buzz in the industry, not just independently but also on a major level.
His next album was released in 2000 the name of it was "Heated" and that's exactly what the album was hot like fire. The album also contained the single from the movie "Held Up" starring Jaime Foxx and Nia Long.
In 2001, he released his next album "Can I Shine?" followed by "Familiar Ground" in 2002 and "Terrain Boss" in 2003.
His latest release "Ain't Playin" was recently released late in 2005 and is receiving excellent reviews for the versatility shown on this project. He's currently in the studio working on several new projects which include, "M.O.G. M-1 Is The Code" compilation" and a new solo album.
In addition to running his own record label, Get Gone Records, Sean T also heads his production company, Dallas Squad Music Publishing (ASCAP ALL RIGHTS RESERVED).
Sean T. is a phenomenal figure in the rap game and not too many people can both rap and produce at such a high level. Throughout his career, Sean T has been a part of well over 250 plus albums, CD's, soundtracks, compilations & mixtapes.

This new Sean T-album is heated!
author: Oral Beezy"Terrain Boss" is a tight album. Sean T.got the game covered, with hot beats, rhymes and guest-artists. Aftermath's THE GAME is featured on the tigth first song "We Gangstaz" and another one, both real gangsta. Skip from UTP and Sean T.does a fly collabo on "Here 2 There", a real funny beat by Sean Tizzle. Other highlights include the collabo "DAMN" with E-40 and Keak Da Sneak over a cool Ric Roc-type of beat and "I choose You" and "Papa", personal real-azz songs where Sean T. spits over soul-samples. Only drawback here is that it's too many tracks, he could have cut it down to like 15 tracks, but it's all gravy. If you're down with that westcoast g-thang or even that eastcoast-thang (Kanye West-type of soul samples) you should definately purchase this Sean T.-album! -Oral Bee

Most Definately Copp This. Sean T Is Bringin That Heat
author: Tha SchizoLegendary Bay Area producer/rapper Sean T recently released his album "Terrain Bo$$." It features the likes of Young Noble, The Game, E-40, Keak Da Sneak, Mac & AK, Mr. Sandman, Balance, A-Wax, Skip (UTP) & more. The entire album was produced by Sean and it shows. This album features some of the hottest beats I've heard on a Bay Area album in a long time. He starts the album off strongly with the track "We Gangstas." Like many of the beats on this album, it's bangin. Sean comes with heat on the mic as well though. He's got a a good delivery and good lyrics. Aftermath artist The Game lays down a solid hook. It's a dope track to get the album started. E-40, Biaje & Keak Da Sneak appear on the track "Damn." With an allstar line-up, this track doesn't disappoint. The beat's real cool and E-40 drops a nice verse. Keak comes tight as usual, as does Sean T but it was Biaje that I really liked on this track. Even though he only dropped the hook I was feelin what I heard from him. One of the things that make this album stand out is that it's got some real readio friendly tracks on it. One them being "I Choose You" featuring background vocals from Mississippi. With most Bay Area artists not getting too much radio play, this is one song that should definately get some. I'd even suggest a video shoot and push for some video play as well. This track shows Sean's versatility as a rapper as well. He shows that he can rap over hard gangsta beats as well as a more slowed down, almost soulful beat as well. Plus the subject matter. This is my favourite beat on the album. Another one of my favourite beats was "What Should I?" This beat is sicc. But not only the beat, but Sean comes sicc on the mic as well. His delivery is on point as the beat compliments his style nicely. This was my favourite overall track on the album. Young Noble (Oultawz), A-Wax & Eddie projects are featured on "Want War." Again, the beat is slappin. Young Noble starts the track off and his style seems to be exactly what the beat was made for. Sean T drops the second verse followed by A-Wax & Eddie Projects. All the artists shined on this track. Another knocker for the Terain Bo$$. This album slapps from beginning to end. Like I said earlier, the beats on this album is like nothing I've heard from a Bay Area album in a long ass time. The guest appearances were explosive and Sean T matched them hott verse for hott verse. Mac & AK appeared on "Party Wit Us," Skip (UTP) & Biaje were on "Here 2 There," Mr. Sandman & Roddy Bo appeared on "Terrain Talk" and Ghazi & Furious appeared on "Groove." All came tight with theirs while Sean did his thing. This album shows Sean's versatility and creativity as well as he discusses many different topics through his songs. From more hard-edge gangsta tracks (We Gangstas) to slowed down mellow tracks (Makin Me High) to radio friendly joints (I Choose You), Sean has it all on this album. Most defiantley pick this one up at your local record store. 9.5/10
one of the best albums in 2003
author: 5150 PromotionzBay Area Veteran Sean-T proves with the release of his new Album Terrain Boss that he's not only a top-notch Producer on the Westcoast but also sick Rapper and Game-spitter. The Beats on this Album are bangin from the first to the last song and Sean-Tz rips every Track to shreds! Can't forget the tight featured artists like E-40, the original Mac-10, Balance, Aftermath's The Game etc.. They all hold their own and add a special flavor to this Album. Terrain Boss is definitely one of my fav. Albums of 2003 and I advice every Westcoast Rap Fan to cop this sh** as soon as possible! Peace John (CEO of 5150 Promotionz)
This is a top notch album. I'm definitely feelin' it overall,
author: B. DownTrack 1 - My first impression is the Dre-like hits - real clean sounding, clear, with a cool chord change in it - it knocks. It's hard with the lyics, and I'm definitely feelin' this. Dope quality, tight lyrics, this is ridin' music. Track 2 - Faster pace, knockin' beat, makes me want to drive fast, and the breakdown in the beat for A-Wax's part is tight. Track 3 - This one isn't really a stand-out track to me. There's a whole lot going on in the beat - a contrast from the simplicity and clarity on track 1, but the hook is real cool with the back-and-forth phrases. Track 4 - With the high cartoon voice, this one is catchy from jump. There is some tight hard bass in the beat too, with some hard solo spittin' on a story-tellin' vibe. Along with track 1, this is one of my favorites so far. Track 5 - Hard mobbin' right off the bat - major knock - this is drivin' music right here - motivation to go get into something. Track 6 - EXTRA TIGHT - Dancehall flavor on the hook, plus a bangin' beat - hell yeah - this one is super tight. Instantly one of my favorite tracks... I had to turn it up extra because it knocks so tight. And the dancehall sounds sets it apart from everything else. This is one of my favorites for sure. Track 7 - Slow mob with E-40 and Keak - this one is cool. Sean-T spittin' aggressive over the laid back mob beat - tight. The hook is dope - one that people will holler along with. Sean-T comes extra tight, E-40 flows cool as usual, and Keak is alright. Track 8 - Drivin' music once again - good flows - tight hook kind of like "Whoa" - folks will holler along with this one too. Everyone flows tight, the beat is bangin', and the drum fill at the end of the loop is real tight. Track 9 - I'm not really feelin' this one - the lyrics are cool, but the hook isn't happenin' for me. Also, the beat doesn't change up much, and it's real plain on the hook. So far, this one is my least favorite. Track 10 - A real unique beat right here. Cool drums like tympanis and steel drums like P.I.M.P. - real tight. The hook is cool lyric-wise, but the artist doing it could have flowed it better or doubled it up some more. Sean-T's flows on it are real hard. -By the way at this point, it's clear that Sean-T is up there with or above every artist that he feature's on here - carrying his own album - props for that. Track 11 - Tight beat - like an anthem with dope horns. Hard lyrics, and a cool breakdown at the end of the loop. Track 12 - At this point I realized how much each song has a different flavor to it... good show of versatility. Good flows. The beat is low key and leaves plenty of room for the lyrics - nice. Track 13 - Another low key basic beat, but major tight lyrics - I actually these flows were over a more high energy beat to keep up with the flows. Track 14 - Once again, the lyrics are standing out major - but the beat on this one is real tight too - supporting the flows. The breakdown on the start of verse 2 is tight - major contrast in the song, and the flows are pretty good. The 3rd artist doesn't come with the same intensity, especially compared to Sean-T. Track 15 - Not feelin' this beat too much. Cool lyrics though. Not feelin' the hook too much either. Track 16 - Major vibe change again here - the versatility stands out once again - I like this one OK - good flows from Seant-T and Mr. Kee, but I'm not feelin' Prohoezak's verse as much. The hook is pretty cool. Track 17 - I like this beat from jump, plus Sean-T is spittin major lyrics - I knew the title track had to be tight - one of my favorites here. Track 18 - REal different once again - I'm seeing how much the versatility is clear on this album - especially in the later half (plus the super tight track 6). The flows on this one are real tight. I like the groove of this one too. Track 19 - Once again different - old school pimp music off the top - classic. This is the first of the "hollerin' at the females" tracks that I'm really feelin'. (Not as much into Lemme Hit It or Party Wit Us). Track 20 - Once again a major knock on this one - another one of my favorites here most definitely. This is all original and I'm feelin' it to the fullest - you can either bounce to it or ride to it. The featured artists flow tight too - laid back style. Track 21 - Dedication track - deep - definitely feelin this - the beat sets the mood prefectly, and the flows are fully on point. Overall - This is a top notch album. I'm definitely feelin' it overall, and this is a review in comparison to major label artists, not independents, because that's the level that it's on as far as songs, quality, etc. Sean-T puts it down out-shining most of the featured artists, if not all of them. That's not to diss the features - they all have flows - I'm just letting you know what level Sean-T himself is on. Definitely worth picking up, so go get yours, and be sure to put track 6 on repeat for a little while - that's my personal favorite. --B. Down
