Melodic metal with soul, or possibly Jazz with intensity, "Calico" is both introspective and serendipitous, and remains palletable to the musically knowledgable and the casual listener alike.

notes
Sean Kelly is a radical individualist who steadfastly refuses to bow to economic or populist pressures. He spends hours upon hours of his free time in the family studio creating music. His music reflects his passion and moods. To listen to his music is to see through a window to his soul.
"Calico on a Dusty Road" is mostly a solo work with a few noted exceptions. It is mostly instrumentals but the title song "Calico" incorporates some beat poetry. Sean's passion is guitar and it is featured in many of his pieces but he is adept at many instruments from synthesizer to drums. Each song is explained and introduced in the CD cover booklet, which also shares pictures of our life and farm. The old farm cat that inspired the title is 22 years old. Her longevity and patience defies explanation
This collection represents some of Sean's works over the last year and he already has prepared additional pieces for another future release. You are encouraged to visit our studio web site by clicking on the link for Sean's web page.
But now he invites you to take a trip through his mind on a walk with a "Calico on a Dusty Road".

Really incredible...music full of emotions!
author: Nick (your italian brother)Really nice and interesting music. I couldn't expect such a good quality of music! It made me feel strong emotions...thanks Sean! Mickey's song made me feel really close to him, to this little, sweet child who I remember as my little brother. I love you Mickey...
A great CD by a great guy :)
author: Erin LarsonI love the jazzy feel of this cd and I especially love the experimentation Sean does on some of the tracks, especially Malodious Mallards. Dark Stairway is also a wonderful song, perfectly portraying a nightmare. I like the use of spoken word in Calico, but i must say that Mickey's Song is my favorite. I love you Mickey and I'll never forget you. Overall a fabulous CD that I would definitely recommend.
