Tajalli

Born William Wichman, of an German father and Mindanaoan mother, he underwent a life-changing experience in 1973 when he met Master Kirpal Singh. His deep spiritual change was reflected in his music, which began as golden oldies tunes, but evolved into new age rhythms. Tajalli played in his early days with artists such as Santana, Gordon Lightfood, Paul Horn and Steven Halpern.

Taj kept close ties with his roots in the tropical islands of the southern Philippines. He dreamed of someday returning to his islands, though his music kept him quite busy locally and in his many studio recordings in L.A., including film.He acted and performed the character Red Bear in the independent movie "Buffalo Hearts". Throughout most of his adult life, Taj called the San Francisco Bay Area home. His blend of eclectic music and positive spirit brought cheer to the thousands whom he touched.

Tajalli and Suzanne have been very close friends since 1983 and have been recording together since. Their album BRILLIANCE was released in 1984,with the critically acclaimed track: Crystal Flight, which was featured in several Visionary Videos. TANTRA ZONE is the follow up release of their collaborations. Chuck Plaisance and Paradiso have been participating on the track CRY OF THE EARTH. Chuck with his 3D sound recording system and Paradiso with his phenomenal didjeridoo playing.

Suzanne's 30 years in the world of New Age music have provided her with incomparable knowledge, experience and contacts. Suzanne is an international recording and performing artist whose background encompasses being a prime time TV "Pop Show" hostess (guests included the BeeGees, Grateful Dead, Keith Emerson, Donovan), a songwriter & composer, script writer, sound designer, producer, A&R record label executive, music publisher, label owner & manager, marketing consultant, and retailer. Seven of their titles made it into the top ten environmental charts at Amazon.com, including being #1 and #2 for over two years. Shirley Maclaine used Suzanne's track "Forever..." (from the "Reflecting Light" album also available on CD Baby and Amazon.com), for her best-selling video and audio series titled "Inner Workout" and "Going Within". Suzanne also produced and directed the award winning video "Starflight" together with well known video and documentary producer Chris Toussaint.
Her latest releases on Only New Age Music include Grundman's WE ARE THE FORTHCOMING PAST and Gnomusy's ETHEREALITY. Both are in the top ten lists of New Age Radio across the USA and worldwide. All profits from the sales of these 2 albums will be donated to Doctors without Borders.
Suzanne has been a consultant to hundreds of artists, producers, record labels, radio programmers, distributors and retailers. Life Magazine began their report on New Age Music with a quote from Suzanne, while specialized Keyboard Magazine acknowledged Suzanne for having "the most authoritative view on New Age Music," and the LA Times devoted a full page article to Suzanne in their Sunday Calendar section.
In the New Age Music Guide by P.J.Birosik, published by MacMillan it says: "...explorers, who helped lay the groundwork for what we now term New Age Music include Kitaro, Andreas Vollenweider, Vangelis, C.H.Deuter, Klaus Schulze, Paul Horn, Suzanne Doucet, Brian Eno and Paul Winter."

  • A fitting piece in the puzzle of Taj’s Life.

    Tajalli and Doucet’s “Tantra Zone” is a fitting piece in the puzzle of Taj’s Life. I believe “Billy” as we called him is smiling as usual on this work. If he ever frowned it would never last too long. It would eventually blossom into a beautiful symbol of human emotion. This is a great album to meditate to or just chill out. It is filled with happiness and pondering thoughts that evoke a study into the deep self-truth we all have. Suzanne’s keyboard playing and arrangements out of her beloved Kurzweils give and do not take anything away from the mix. She is truly a master in minimalism. I have had such an honor to play and learn with these two artists as well as be part of their lives. “Billy” is away from this dimension but he is still here in our hearts, thoughts and music.
