Like a cool trade wind that breezes in from the South Pacific Hawaiian Islands, AIRTIME recording artist SCOTT KATSURA is soaring high with his newly released ALOHA MILES AWAY CD-album. Overseas, he is frequently regarded as the first international pop star associated with Hawaii since 'Don Ho'. Scott is quickly captivating mainstream audiences worldwide.

ALOHA MILES AWAY was born shortly after the events of 9/11 - and in already being a resident of Manhattan for thirteen-years, SCOTT was drastically affected to the first degree. By experiencing a spiritual, mental and artistic revelation, like never before, he was inspired to compose songs through his native Hawaiian eyes; SCOTT took a shot at producing himself for the very first time; SCOTT chose Hawaii as his theme for the project; SCOTT personally hand picked the entire production crew; and then SCOTT changed his professional stage name from Scott Allan (first, middle name) to plainly SCOTT KATSURA (first, last name).

By working with people who shared the same passion for the ALOHA MILES AWAY production - Broadway singer David Velarde and jazz pianist Martin Bejerano, KATSURA has succeeded in creating a musical montage well representing his lifestyle of sharing the 'Aloha Spirit', while living in New York City and touring around the world. SCOTT and ALOHA MILES AWAY is inspiring a global language of musical simplicity, in a wholesome and refreshing way. In SCOTT'S own words, "Everyone near and far loves Hawaii. Everyone needs to know what the 'Spirit of Aloha' is all about - that is, sharing, caring, giving, living, family, love.

    I love "Aloha Miles Away" with all my heart! I treasure each and every one of Scott's 18 songs on the CD. One main emphasis should be placed on Scott's vibrant, warm and soothing voice. In these times, with such an overload of oversaturated singers, it is refreshing to listen to such a distinctive voice that stands out in this overcrowded music industry! I promise, this CD will lift your spirit and make you feel good all over!!! PS... Scott, "We Belong Together!"

    My friend turned me on to Scott Katsura and the only CD I could find was "Aloha Mles Away" - what a tasty treat! I love all the songs and Scott's warm and sexy voice! Scott is my favorite American singer and I'd like to find more of his CD's... I hope Scott is nice enough to perform here in the Czech Republic!!! I will be the first in line!!!

    LOVE the CD. I have been enjoying the title track, Aloha Miles Away. I also love Flower Lei. I can't decided which one is my favorite. I have about 14 TRUE favorites on this CD and there are 18 cuts on this CD. This is a great CD to add to your collection. I would strongly recommend this CD to anyone who likes Adult Contemporary Music.

    I love this CD and Scott is well on his way to becoming the 'Ambassador of Aloha'. More over, "Aloha Miles Away" features many songs with international appeal - adult contemporary, dance and Top 40! To label this CD as just a Hawaii album is very limiting...     These are critical times we live in and it's reflected in the cynical, full of criticism and anti social themes found in much of the Rap music of the day. Not so with Mahalo America, it's a Rap without gripes. This musical tour feels like home, your home wherever that might be in the good old U.S. of A. The rest of the CD is excelent. Scott Katsura makes listening easy.

    What distinguishes Scott Katsura from many others who sing music of Hawaii is his sense of engagement. instead of treating traditional songs as artifacts, he breathes new life into the music with caressing vocals and original lyrics amd melodies. In the main theme song Aloha Miles Away as well as My Hawaii and Flower Lei you can feel the love Scott has for his land, his people and his culture. Scott's engaging, mesmeric voice is a joy, and his ensemble knows how to complement it.

    To say that Scott Katsura is just a Hawaii artist and "Aloha Miles Away" just a Hawaii CD is very limiting! First off, I've never heard of songs that associate with Hawaii quite like this. Second, songs like "Where I Belong" and "Caught Up In The Rainbow" (and more) makes no reference to Hawaii at all. I'm surprised to publicly hear so little about this delightful CD... WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

    the variety of songs will reach out to both the young and older crowd. it's nice to hear some slow songs along with the upbeat faster ones. the music and lyrics compliment each other.

    Aloha Miles Away has become one of my favorite CD's. The music is wonderful. You can dance to it or just listen. My favorite is Mahalo America. It mentions the little town where I live.     I am most impressed with the versatility of musical styles on each song, and yet, it all blends together on one album! 18 solid tracks and no fillers! WOW! In a pop sense, Scott appears to look (and sound) like the first male Sade in the music industry... no joke! Check it out, you'll be glad you did!
