notes

Lynne Barnes on Celtic harp and Roger Dale on recorders decided to become "Scotch Mist" about three years ago when Roger wanted to know how Celtic harp and recorders sounded together.

Everyone (no bias whatsoever) thought it sounded wonderful, and we were off! Our first album, "The Holly and the Ivy," was the result of a Christmas Concert in Alexandria, VA, where concertgoers were disappointed that there was no CD available.

This album, "Scotch Mist is Essentially Irish," is a play on words and was also created at the urging of our public.

This album is all Irish melodies, some familiar and probably some unfamiliar to you.

Several are by the blind harper, Turlough O'Carolan, including Fanny Power and several others.

Fanaid Grove, Black Velvet Band, and many others complete the list.

Lynne and I hope you enjoy our quiet and relaxing music.

Please see the writeup under "The Holly and the Ivy" for more information.

Thank you for stopping by.
