Spinning tales from his tangled inner web, Schwartz uses honesty, humor and irony to build a landscape where nothing is sacred, and everything is, well, a little different.

His debut album is receiving airplay across the country, including regular playing on Dr. Demento. Yet, it's not what you would call a 'novelty' album by any stretch!

"In dealing with diverse subjects with a singular talent, Schwartz not only demonstrates a command of many styles of music, but ushers in what will hopefully be a new breed of songwriters who can deal with traditional, modern, and postmodern forms with near-equal aplomb," explained Matthew Robinson in the Boston Globe.

    This album is delightful and very well-crafted. The music is perfect folk, but the lyrics and subject matter are surprising, clever, and touching.

    Hattie And Mattie is a classic. Not a 'funny' song but rather a fun song that is so good because it is so real. I think this is where Eric's talent as a songwriter turns into genious. I will never tire of listening to this CD.

    I was surprized to discover that there were many "regular" songs as well as the novelty stuff, but it is all good! Eric Schwartz is a great artist and I think anyone can find something to like about his work!

    as always , eric's music is tight and flawless on that's how it's gonna be . this album runs the emotional gamut . the exquiste my lady of the broken glass & that's how it's going to be give me that emotional shiver i crave . kafka & hattie & mattie make me laugh . it's like reading john irving with biff rose writing the sound track .

    This Cd was amazing, I had heard the second cd so I bought the first one, and I was VERY impressed. Not only was there the comedy, But Only Be, Thats how its gonna be, and Lady of the broken glass were amazing.. this CD is now in my cd player and its going to stay there for a good long time!!

    Eric is a really funny guy! Standouts from his CD....Psycho Ballet, Marylou, Charlie Brown, Hattie! Eric can make the depressed happy! Make anyone smile....personally I have laughed outloud many times. A must have album! James Taylor and Weird Al fans...will "get" Eric!
