Piecing It Together is Laura Sawosko's second full length album. It succeeds her initial solo CD - depicting her journey away from the world she once knew, Fall From Home. Her songs not only reflect her own journey, but draw you into your own as well, through ruthless honesty and childlike images. Her vocal technique is raw and unrehearsed which parallels her guitar, while the piano introduces another precious layer of melodic and technical grace.

Laura began her ambitious solo career as a singer/songwriter in 1999, after leaving a band which opened for the 1999 Phoenix Lilith Fair with Sarah McLachlin, Sheryl Crow and Dido. She had too much to say and wanted to share her original songs with an audience, rather than perform someone elses. Later that year, Laura composed the musical score for the independent film, An Intimate Friendship, by Filling The Gap Productions (now on sale at Best Buy on DVD). You also may have seen Laura on NBC's #1 rated show, Fear Factor. In a brave attempt to promote her music and possibly win $50,000 to assist her musical career, she had the rare opportunity to ride a bull and eat cow brains. Unfortunately, she was unable to finish the required amount of brains in the designated time. Laura just completed her first West coast tour and will be heading back on the road to promote Piecing It Together this Fall.     Laura Sawosko is an incredible songwriter. This intimate album presents an amazing legacy of original songs that touches the hearts of listeners. She says what we cannot. No matter how many times the CD is played, a new layer of meaning emerges. She truly is a poet and priest of the world who shares her fearless honesty and her soft vulnerability with us. Her words have taught me to be the last brave one.

    She is better live!!!!!!!! Her CD's are really great! Laura has such a way about her. If you have never seen her live then you must go and see her! book a plane or a train or just drive to her. She will Captivate you! Keep you in awe! She is just amazing! She is the gift that keeps on giving.

    I can only relate to the music and the songs. They draw out me in almost every single one of her songs. They sort of take me down a trail to another land and space and time. Her voice is soothing as she sings the lovesongs that unravel ones life. I feel like a savage beast that is being consoled. Too Much from piecing it together, is a very moving song. Not to many artists can move my heart like Laura Sawosko. I give her 5 stars because she knows the depth of how far she goes just to reach an audience of people. Her concerts are phenominal. Not to many musicans can grab my attention like she can... Piecing it Together is a great album and everyone should own a copy of it. I am going to get them for people a great xmas gift.

    If the rest of us were diligent enough to write down our thoughts, turn those words into poetry, add the appropriate melody, learn to play the guitar and piano, then put it all together, we too could have made this album! I bought this album 4 days ago and I can't seem to turn it off. When the CD isn't playing, the words are ruminating in my head. The lyrics beg you to go back and analyze everything you've done in life, through Laura's eyes. This album is the whole package, right down to the performer herself. If you are sick of the "I'm 16 and cute enough to sing a couple notes of someone else's drab music" you will love this album.

    her music is great and heartful and in a way sometimes really searching for the feeling at hand. Her album piecing it together helped in the healing of my own heart. I love all the songs on the album but my most favorite is Too Much... She really gets into the depth of things and just really brings out a really good message about knowing yourself.     Laura's style is very unique. She is not only a talented singer, but a great songwriter, guitarist, and piano player.
