"Sweet Dreamy Space" is a haven of ambient, sci-fi-like, space music that reminds us of Louis and Bebe Barron, Darshan Ambient, Tangerine Dream, Steve Roach and Brian Eno.
Saverio utilizes pulsating, electronic, one-of-a-kind sequences to create sweet, futuristic, agreeable melodies and soundscapes.
In composing, he applies contrasting musical ideas and parallel arrangements. For example, an arrangement may call for playing melodies that move in opposite directions, forward and reverse, separate or at the same time. In another musical phrase, one synth will closely follow another, each performing their own descrete versions of the same melody.
"The recordings that really resonated with me are those with engaging compositional styles. I’m a big fan of every genre. Ambient Space Music, which seems to evolve the more you listen, gives me the most satisfaction of all.
A compositional style of notes and melodies that one might not always expect, intrigues me. This notion of anticipating what's not expected and considering the improbable, stimulates many new electronic experiences, many of them vague and abstract, which is what I'm going for.
The idea of music in space holds a lot of meaning. First, there is an endless variety of music. The way its composed, performed and listen to give way to even more variety. Contrast that with the limitless nature of space.
Music in space is a very odd thing when you consider it's mostly vacuum out there and there is very little sound in the vacuum of space.
Finally, I like it that more people inhabit earth orbit. Many years from now, in solar system settlements and beyond, I hope they'll enjoy 'Sweet Dreamy Space'."
