notes
Sara Pace is a singer-songwriter currently based in Madison, Wisconsin. She grew up in Central Iowa, in a home filled with the music of Dylan, Prine, and Elton John, to name only a few. Her life has taken her from the cornfields to the big cities, and now to something a little in-between.
Sara's second album, "Sara Pace, Simpatico" was release in late 2005. "After The Storm", the first song on Simpatico, is a song about journey and it features the beautiful guitar work of Willy Porter, whom Sara and co-producer Lance Ketterer share a friendship with. Willy graces this tune with 6 & 12 string acoustic guitar, as well as a 6 string electric gretsch hollowbody.
The final cut on the album, "Out of the Blue" was selected as September 2005 feature song on the One to Watch segment of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Acoustic Café with Rob Reinhart.

Beautiful Instrumentation, Arrangements, and Songs
author: FrankThis recording is really a gorgeous foray into the realm of folk, with wonderfully diverse arrangements from song to song and very diverse instrumentation as well. The songs are top notch. Almost the whole recording features the awesome pedal steel and lap steel stylings of Adam Davis, now a part-time member of Amos Lee's band. Willy Porter lends his wonderful talents on the opening track After the Storm. The drumming/percussion is subdued and totally in the pocket. Mandolin, Violins, Viols, Stand-up and Electric Bass color the core of a couple acoustic guitars and a beautiful vocal without getting in the way or overwhelming the point of the recording, which is the songs and the lyrics. Check it out....it won't disappoint!
Lush Production
author: JonThis CD is more lush than Sara's stripped down first release "self-titled", but still equally as lyrical and engaging...if not more so. The songs are more thickly accentuated by electric guitars, viols, violas, standup bass, pedal steel, mandolin, and many others, without taking away from the main point...the songs. Willy Porter lends his amazing talent on After the Storm, and it only gets better from there! Give a listen, guaranteed to please.
Amazing voice and lyrics
author: TimThis is a great follow-up to Sara's terrific first album. The first two tracks are probably my favorites, but the whole album keeps growing on me. Her way with words and lush voice add up to a great listening experience.

More intricate and polished than her first albumn, but also not quite as engaging. Still--very likeable and all too short!!
This is Sublime
author: djEach time I listen to Simpatico I have a new favorite song. Sara Pace has created a song-scape that takes me right to a higher state. Especially I like the opening tune After the Storm, but The Call is sublime. Adam Davis' pedal steel is cool and sublime. In a word SUBLIME. Check it out.
Get Simpatico now, (and tell your friends "i told you so," later).
author: joe vi'm not sure what kind of world we live in, if this release doesn't launch Sara Pace into alt-country stardom...or, at least damn close to it. It's all here: simple-yet-incisive folk lyricism (think John Prine) the vocal sweetness of Emmylou Harris, and the refreshingly low-key beauty of Sara's unique and sultry delivery. The band is hot, the recording is hip and trad at the same time. Make room, Neko and Iris, Sara's going to steal your roots-lovin' boyfriends!
Another winner from Sara - great sound!
author: TomAnother beautiful production from Lance Ketterer, this one utilizes some unusual arrangements, and has been growing on me quickly. The more I listen to it, the more I like it! Sara's voice sounds GREAT and this is an intense batch of songs. Check this out if you want to hear an up-and-coming singer-songwriter before everyone else knows how good she is!
