Have you ever had the feeling that something is about to happen? If you're like me, you've always wanted to be one of those people who shows up with the coolest, newest, about to be happening thing, but always seem to be a couple of moments off. We'll here's our chance....
Sarah Marince is about to set things on fire with her debut release, "Somebody Like You". The release is slated to hit stores Jan 15th but early birds can get it by attending her free release party taking place Saturday January 12th @ 7 p.m. at Sarah's high school, Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School (http://www.lppacs.org) Yes... I said high school but don't that fool you. This non-slacking 17 y/o high school senior has already shared the stage with the likes of: Lonestar, Trisha Yearwood, Phil Vassar, Gretchen Wilson, Taylor Swift, Jake Owen, Gary Allen, Trace Adkins, Mark Wills, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Rachel Fuller, Kelly Pickler and rock legend Pete Townsend. To add to her accomplishments "Just Look At Me" Sarah's 1st single off of "Somebody Like You" has been in heavy rotation on Froggy 98.3 FM, one of Pittsburgh's most powerful country stations. Froggy also asked Sarah to participate this year on their holiday release "The 12 Bands Of Christmas" where her single "All i Want For Christams Is You" has been noted as the most downloaded on iTunes. This year Sarah performed on the main stage at Jamboree in the Hills, the largest, four day country music festival in the United States! She also had the honor of being invited to perform at the legendary "South by Southwest Music Festival" in Austin, Texas. She is a regular performer at the stadiums and arena in Pittsburgh for the Steelers, Pirates, & Penguins and in her spare time as a 17 year old she was still able to fit in a performance for The President Of The United States Of America.
But on to more important things. Namely her debut release "Somebody Like You". This release has taken Sarah on a personal and literal journey with regular trips back and forth to Nashville, TN over the past 6 months. Nashville seems like the perfect place to record a country album but ironically it took the 500 mile trip to meet up with songwriters/producers Joe West & Dave Pahanish. (http://www.myspace.com/gasolineproductionsinc) who only years earlier lived right in her own back yard of Pittsburgh, PA. Funny how things work out. The result is "Somebody Like You" an accessible, young and thought provoking release that takes you through the life and times of your not so average 17 y/o. These songs are stories about her experiences. From "Somebody Like You" a "hooky", up-tempo, radio hit that celebrates everything wonderful about finding your first Mr. Right, to "Do You Believe Me Now?" the question she asks her new X-boyfriend who now finds himself dating the very girl that Sarah was warning him about. And then there is "Big Time," a story of a young aspiring singer that has been traveling back and forth to Nashville (paying her dues) until she gets that "one shot at the big time". Sound familiar? Well it will soon... It was just added to heavy rotation on all 5 Froggy radio stations in the tri-state region, with other stations threatening to follow. And so it goes through the rest of this well crafted release. One great story after another about experiences we all have lived or are about to depending on your age.

I heard Sarah perform in Hershey at a McCain/Palin rally and went out and bought her CD. She was a breath of fresh air.
