notes
Even as a 'Jane of all trades', music has always played a prominent role in Sanna's life. She was born to a musical family and grew up while records of (among others) Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, CSNY and Dutch singer Boudewijn de Groot were playing in the background.
She developed a love for folk and country music and started singing at a very young age. In a few years she started playing guitar and soon the first selfmade compositions were born. At first music merely fulfilled a role as a nice hobby, but after a few studies and jobs it became clear that all Sanna really wanted to do was make music. She yielded to the muse and so the Songbird album was recorded, on which she sings about this proces in the song 'The Key'. Thus, 'Songbird' is an ode to life in all its aspects.
