The Salty Frogs features Bronwen Beecher "The Fiddle Preacher"
Bronwen teamed with producer Mark Towner Williams (CSN, Tina Turner, Greg Allman) to create a unique sound that was initially influenced by the eastern Canadian celtic rock bands such as Leahy and Daniel le Blanc. Bronwen further incorporated the classic rock sounds of Led Zeppelin and The Pretenders as well as more modern artists such as Evanescence, P.J. Harvey and Tori Amos to create the Salty Frogs sound.
"Today was Strange . . ." incorporates many styles including, Rock, Reggae, Salsa, Do-Wop and Funk as well as a Celtic Soul version of the popular Irish drinking song "Whiskey in the Jar".
Have a listen and enjoy!!!

A never-before collection of songs and styles. Give it a listen!
author: MauraIt's hard to believe that just four musicians could come up with such a rich melange of sounds and styles. Bronwen Beecher's songs are unbelievably new, and yet shot through with archetypal images as old as the earth. Percussion, guitar, fiddle and back-up vocals are experimental and exciting.
