learned lots of nice steps.
Excellent
author: GaryExcellent CD. Does not replace instructional Salsa DVDs or Videos. Rather it allows you to see a number of moves and shows how to combine the moves. Would recommend.
Excellent CD
author: LizI am delighted with 'Salsa Now', it's an excellent way to keep on learning between salsa classes.
Very well designed and it can help a lot either beginners or intermediate salser
author: Thanasis BiniarisA very well designed CD including a variety of styles in the performance part. The choreography section has some very well presented moves ranging from simple to more complex. Overall the CD can help a salsa enthusiast to understand better and work at home on the moves that suit him best.
good
author: tilowell the intention was good but the cd jumps every now and then turn patterns are pretty good not much of free style but for begginers is excellent.
This is the best instructional media in the market right now.
author: TobyThis is the best instructional media in the market right now. You can repeat video slowmotion and see footwork animation at the same time with music playing. Good selection of the 59 moves used often. You will need a good computer for the CD to run properly. The cd has a few hidden options which you need to see the instructions or fiddle with the option menus. Toby Professional Engineer, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer

GREAT CD!!!
author: MARIA DENETTE - LEARN TO SALSA NOWMy husband and I have tried many methods of learning salsa from classes to DVDs. But the LEARN TO SALSA NOW cd is, by far, the best thing that has happened to salsa since the conga! I appreciate the time put into this work and would dare say that it is worth far more than we had to pay. Keep up the good work, guys!!!

Great learning tool. Best feature is the ability to select a series of moves and see it displayed as a combination on screen. Very creative. Looking forwards to future offerings. Keep up the good work!!!!
Excellent learning tool, highly recommended
author: Gillian from EnglandI am delighted with 'Salsa Now', it's an excellent way to keep on learning between salsa classes. If anyone has trouble working out how to link moves together the choreography room and dance studio are really helpful. Works on a Mac too!
Great Ideas, just need to work on their execution.
author: DaveI bought the CD for the Music Room feature. Unforntately that part is broken on my computer. It just doesn't play right. The performances Room was OK at best. The only good feature of the CD is the Learn the Dance portion. If you are an intermediate level dancer this CD breaks down some cool moves. There was some great ideas that went in to it, so overall I would rate the CD as good. A word of warning though, I would only recommend this CD to someone that has a good understanding of Salsa basics and comfortable with their lead/follow abilities.

I really enjoyed this CD. It really helps introduce the basics for those who are just starting up in salsa dancing. I would really recommend this to who ever is interested in learning how to dance salsa.
good cd - fantastic piece of work
author: MichaelI really enjoyed this CD, it is a good preparation for each salsa party. Also, the free salsa training at your web site was a great help. Thank you a lot. Michael,Anchorage - Alaska
Well used technology
author: Dave in OregonA valuable tool in the pursuit of salsa. Some pretty good moves and lots of good things to try to steal from the performers. However, there is little in the way of notes other than in the introduction, so what you see is what you get. No advice on timing, lead & follow, etc. It also would have been great to have another melodic instrument or vocalist in the band. These are small points in an otherwise brilliant piece of multimedia. Well done, and I will recomend it to my students.
this is a great cd that I received.

Salsa music is easy to enjoy but apparently is highly complex from a musician’s point of view. ( See for example, Charley Gerard’s, Salsa book on his “struggle” to master salsa. ). I got this product because I had read that it included a “music room” that appeared to be oriented to ear training specifically for salsa. Much to my surprise the “music room” is just one of several features of this product. In fact, the product is oriented to the growing numbers trying to learn salsa dancing. In my estimation it is a brilliantly conceived product that may well set the foundation for a new approach to dance instruction. Clearly, actual dancing is required to learn dancing but the rate of learning could be accelerated by a well conceived product such as Salsa Now. That is, Salsa Now could be used as a supplement to dance instruction. . The different components of the product are: • Choreography room • Music Room • Performance room The Choreography Room, as the name implies, is used to compose sets of steps. You choose the steps from a nicely arranged set of tab containing steps from basic to “sexy”. By placing your mouse over a thumb of the video clip depicting the step the video comes alive, without the slightest delay, and you see a couple executing the step. Some of the steps are complex enough that this along strikes me as a terrific learning tool. Amazingly enough, you can string several such steps into a routine. That is, once you have made your selections you can play the routine. That is, a couple then executes the routine to a rhythm track. I’m not sure how they do this because the number of possible routines is so large that I don’t think they would have filmed and recorded every possible one. Rather, I think there is some sort of on the fly stitching of clips together. It works well and is very well thought out because some steps require a “transitional step” and they add that automatically for you!. I played with several routine and was impressed with the results. The Music Room is fascinating in its own right. As far as I could tell there is a single song available. The intended use of this component is to turn on or off different instruments so that the listener learns to appreciate their role in a typical salsa. In addition to turning on or off instruments it is possible to “watch the beat”. Salsa requires the dancer to perform two sets of three steps each within an eight beat count. This is accomplished by doing two “quick” steps followed by a “slow”. Knowing where you are in the count after a turn or at any time during the dance is one of the challenges of the dance. The Music Room includes a visual beat as well as the ability to alter the tempo. That is, you can play the music slower or faster and the visual rendition of the beat goes slower or faster accordingly. This allows you to practice steps at different tempi while having a visual cue of where you are in the eight count. Brilliant as this idea is there is much more that can be added to the basic idea and I hope the developers continue enhancing the product. Finally, there is the Performance Room, a very well edited video of several couples dancing. It is fun to watch. Instructionally, the Performance Room and would have been better if there was some accompanying description of which steps were being performed. In short, there is genius behind this product and would be well worth it for anyone interested in better understanding salsa music or dancing.
A great CD for listening and learning new steps.
