Ryan Daniel and the Spirit of David are a four-member group based in the Midwest bring a uniquely fresh and new vibe to urban Gospel.
Perhaps the most pioneering addition to this avant-garde approach to musical ministry is dancer Cally Eastman, whose stage name is U. Donning a mask while transforming the lyrics of each song into dance, she stands in place on stage as a symbol of "everybody and anybody". This talented dancer finds that her eye-mask often allows children after shows to approach her and ask questions that they normally would be afraid to ask in other situations. She has used this opportunity many times to minister.
Prepare to have your mind blown when you put the beam on this disc. Efficient experimentation with dancehall, hip hop, spoken word, country, electronica, rock, soca, Gospel and African music, they do it all with innovation and cutting-edge delivery, propelling them to the frontlines in creative music ministry.

On May 8th 2004 Ryan Daniel and the Spirit of David took first place in the rock category at Club 3 Degrees in Minneapolis Minnesota. Club 3 Degrees is presently known as one of if not the largest club in the country, recently featured in Rolling Stone magazine.

This CD should be sold as a double pack! You will want to keep one and give one away! I was blown away with the versatility in this CD. A refreshing sound like no other. And the lyrics are not weak! It's about time someone brought music back to it's roots, an expression in Art. What better way to proclaim the goodness and limitless "boundaries" of THE Creator then through actual CREATIVITY?!!! This CD pushes the boundaries, doesn't accept the status quo and LEADS the scene without having to rely on "other people's styles" or the paths of others!
