Cerise is made up of two extremely talented Northwest musicians, Ruthie Dornfeld (violin) and Ruth Hunter (accordion, vocals and tambura). Their new release is a dazzling panorama of pan-European folk music that travels through Finland, visits Brittany and the French countryside, and then lingers in Macedonia, Bulgaria and Greece. Along the way it picks up some fine traveling companions, such as Christos Govetas (clarinet, percussion), Reuben Radding (upright bass), Elyce Tajima-Woycke (vocals), and Forrest Gibson (guitar).
