    author: Donna Kidd Schroeder

This album was good on LP back in 1980 and it's even better now. A "friend" borrowed my LP about 20 years ago and never returned it. I am so glad that I now have it on cd. If another friend wants to listen, they'll have to get their own, this one is mine.

  • What could be better than turning up some Two B's Please!
    author: Karl H. Betz

My wife and I have enjoyed this album since it came out. She even had the opportunity to see Robbin in concert in 1981. It was a great album to listen to when we were young and its even better to pop into the CD player now. I am so happy to have found it here.

  • Robbin's Music is Euphoric!
    author: Lisa Hollingsworth

Forget about anti-depressants or mood enhancers! Just put on some tunes by Robbin Thompson and your toes will start tappin' and your booty will start swaying...before you know it you will feel your heart and soul revived and rejuvinated. Anyone who lives on the coast can relate to Sweet Virginia Breeze, but Robbin convinces us that VA is where we all need to be. Thanks for blessing all of us with the talent that God has bestowed upon you, Robbin!

  • Robbin's Music Rocks
    author: Charlie Francis

I had searched for some of Robbin's older music for a while and glad I stumbled on his webpage a few weeks ago. CD baby delivered my cd very quickly and I have been enjoying his music again. I couldn't believe how well I remembered the words so easily from years ago. My son has listened to my favorite(candy apple red)and has told me how much he likes that song. Great cd!!!!

  • This CD is Hot!!!

Saw Robbin Thompson at Cameron Indoor at Duke in 1980. They opened for Marshall Tucker Band. Loved the album then and love the CD now.

  • 2 b's please
    author: Shauna

I bought 2 of your cd's for my brother who thinks you are one of the all time greatest. He just went to see you in Norfolk, Va. He thought it was awesome that you were impressed that he remembered a bee incident that you had forgotten about until he mentioned it. He listens to both of the cd's a lot. You are doing a fantastic job with your music and with listening to your fans. Keep up the great job! Shauna Briley

  • Fantastic
    author: Sybil Modispacher

This album makes me feel like I am in my 20's again. I love to put the top down, put in some RB and jam....and then turn it up...loud! I live in Maryland now and singing Sweet Virginia Breeze brings the biggest smile to my face!

  • Search is over!

I'm happy that I have found the song 'barroom romance'. I have the vinyl '2 b's please' and am delighted to get it so I can put on my MP3 player. Delightful music that brings back many fond memories.

  • A Great Find
    author: Peter North - UK

Thanks to Cd Baby I am able to enjoy some music that takes me back to the music I enjoyed in the 70's and still do. Great tunes, lyric's and melody's not to mention great musicianship a must have cd, I shall be looking into all other stuff by Robbin.

  • I'll have to pry the CD from my sons hands.
    author: Frank Gallagher

Great music, great memories. While listening to 2Bs Please my son asked WHOS THAT? Now he's borrowed it and it looks I'll have to tackle him to get it back. I guess Candy Apple Red just hit a new generation. Timeless Music!

  • Great Memories
    author: Jillian

I found my old cassette and it really brought back great memories. I never thought I would be able to find it on CD format. I love the music and now I can share it with my children.

  • No longer have to pray.....
    author: Gay Catania

No longer have to spend prayer on hoping my old tape of this "album" would not break! One of my all time favorite compilation of tunes....it basically is a snapshot of being young, single and free living in Va. Bch. in the late 70's and 80's. Partly makes you want to go back and then at times (Nothing like a bar room romance) makes you wonder what the heck you were thinking back then! Robbin's ability to reflect an era in song is outstanding - stronger than any other song writer I have ever heard.

  • Excellent condition and VERY quick delivery!
    author: Phil Ferguson

This CD is one I have on LP but I wanted the sound and convience of a CD. Robbin Thompson is a grreat Virginia artist and should get more credit for this CD. I love Sweet Virginia Breeze and Candy Apple Red as well, but the whole CD is worth a listen. Phil Ferguson Roanoke, Virginia

  • author: Jack Sperry

Thats Alright and Brite Eyes still have that sound that never lets up. You can't beat great music from our area. I've burnt up albums and taped copies over the years and it's good to see CD Baby have Robbins music. If you haven't bought Out on the Chesapeke or One step ahead of the Blues, you loose. If you like Robbins music and voice you gotta have these 2 CD's in you collection. You won't be let down.

  • also with 2 b's

This brought back wonderful memories of growing up in Virginia. I thought it was a great album when originally released and it still is today.

  • Great Music from Richmond, VA
author: Bob Munson - Studley, Virginia

Robbin Thompson, is one of the truely undiscovered superstars. We in the Richmond, VA area are just glad to call him one of our own. This LP is just a few of the great songs recorded by Robbin Thompson.

    Brings back great memories!

  • Richmond Baby, Richmond !!!
    author: Bobby Fraley

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the great music that you've created over the years. Here's a little story for ya Robbin, you might find amusing. Back in the early 80's when I was in the Navy, stationed aboard the USS Enterprise. Well, back in those days entertainment on the ship was very limited, so we had to bring our own music with us. We had varied taste in music as you can imagine. When I'd break out my tape collection everyone looked and most of them had no idea what kind of music I had, I'm sure they were thinking "What kind of crap is this guy play". Here's a list of the tapes I had, starting of course with you Robbin, also I had Steve Bassett, Larry Raspberry & the Highsteppers, Bill Blue Band, Rootboy Slim, Bruce Hornsby, after I played them the tapes they were amaZed that they'd never heard them before. They'd ask where do come from? I'd simply say "Richmond, Baby, Richmond. Home of the best Rockers around.

  • Super!
    author: Scoop

Always loved the song 'Sweet Virginia Breeze' and delighted to get a copy. 'Candy Apple Red' is great as well. Takes you back!

It is great to be able to listen to this cd after about 20 years. Now i can listen the next 20!!!!

  • author: Billy Hanger

This CD took me back to my college days at JMU. I remember when Robbin played a concert at Wilson Hall. It was sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi. My album is worn but now that I have the CD I can put the album in a frame and display it on my wall. As soon as I get in the car I pop it in and I go back in time. I've played it so much my 8 year old son can sing the words to Sweet Virginia Breeze. Thank you Robbin!

  • Grrrreat to have a CD!
    author: Wilber Jones

The songs are just as great as they were 25 years ago -- maybe better now that they're on CD. The audio on my daughter's vinyl copy is somewhat deteriorated (from heavy play!). She found the CD on CDBaby and told me about it. I am now a happy man! I am especially enraptured by "All Alone in the Endzone" though it wasn't as big of a hit as some of the others. I played the CD for 2 hours on the afternoon that it arrived in the mail! :-)

  • author: Keith Taylor

What a great, great album. I pulled out my old cassette tape and had to listen to it. I remember seeing RTB at Ferrum and what a show. This undoubtedly is the best music to listen to if you feel down and out. This will bring you back to life.

  • author: Vickie

I moved away from Va 8 years ago and do i miss it.. Been looking for this Cd for a very long time. Now I have found it now I when I miss home I just put in the Cd and it takes me back to a place where things were a whole lot simpler and peaceful..I would have given this CD at 10 but only goes to 5..Thank you robbin for writing and recording songs that have proven to last through time..

  • Fantastic music!
    author: Jeff Holoman

I have been searching for this CD for years. It is awesome music! I have not taken it out of my CD player since I got it. I love it!

  • My husband's favorite Xmas gift this year
    author: The Fox's

My husband has this on vinyl but wondered if it had ever come out on CD. He was thrilled when I got it for him this xmas. Was the first gift that got "used" that day.

  • 6 stars!!...Better than awesome!
    author: Renese Garcie

I owned this on tape back when I was a Navy corpsman stationed at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Saw RTB play all over the Tidewater region during '80-'84. After I got back home to Louisiana, an ex went through my tapes after we broke up and was very selective about which ones he took. Needless to say, I never saw 2B's again. Now I'll have it on CD thanks to CD Baby. Listened to the samples and I couldn't believe how I was singing every word like it was yesterday that I heard it last. Absolutley classic tunes that stand the test of time. My 14 yr old daughter loves what she's heard so far and is almost as excited as I am for the CD to arrive! Every song is better than the one before it...but I have a special place in my heart for Candy Apple Red. (The front seats of a Rambler really DO go back all the way!)

  • author: Tom

Timeless music. Gets better with age.

  • Great CD
    author: Bill Nelson

This CD is great. I like all of the songs, but my favorites are Candyapple Red, Sweet Virginia Breeze, and Brite Eyes.

  • Simply Awesome.....
    author: Joseph BonDurant

Brings back all the memories from the times I saw Robbin doing a gig at the King's Palace in Princeton WV....I believe I saw you there twice....after growing up in the Chicago suburbs and all the great music that came out of that area the time of the late 60's and early 70's, your music was so different and fresh...and the songs were catchy...later I refered to it as "Low Country Southern Rock".I also purchased one of your newer CD's and enjoy the new music you are still cranking out... Thanks.....again..and CD Baby for making it available as I have looked for it for quite sometime even since moving down to the Tampa Bay area...keep up all the great creativity!!!

  • Regardless of the decade 2 b's stands the test of time
    author: Eddie C.

These songs are as good today as they were at The House in Ferrum, The Depot in Radford or any of the many other venues the RTB frequented in the 80's. This is the true meaning of ROCK & ROLL. I feel it is a major injustice that SWEET VA. BREEZE is not the state song of Va. So pick up this album (how old am I) and let it rip. It wont be long until the spirits back to stay..

  • Sweet Summer Memories
    author: N. WIlkinson

I had this album and 8 track tape; every song I hear reminds me of the summer of 80 and my high school year. I played it as soon as I got it and before I knew it, I was dancing and singing around the living room thinking of those great summers; I went to almost every concert Robbin played. Thanks so much CD baby for bringing happines to me from those lost summers.

  • Ah, the memories!
    author: R. Guillen

I grew up in Virginia, attended William & Mary from 1979-83, and remember seeing the Robbin Thompson Band play many times and listening to this album many, many times. Wonderful songs that were a part of my younger years! I was inspired to order Two B's Please on CD after getting back in the college mood while visiting college campuses as my son starts the college search.

  • Great CD--great music--GREAT lyrics
    author: E Newberg

This is a fantastic CD. The music is great and really brings back memories for everyone in the southeast in the early 80's. Robbin Thompson's lyrics are really well written and stick with you---Thanks

  • Great timeless rock and roll.
    author: Mike Wright

Grew up in Charlottesville and saw Robbin in Charlottesville. Love the vocals and the tight music. Always enjoyed Robbin's guitar work. Brings back alot of great memories. One of my top three albums. For those who have not heard his tunes, give this a listen and you will be pleasantly suprised.

  • Classic stuff!
    author: Denton B.

This is a classic for so many of us! Tunes about growing up on the Space Coast of Florida as well as living in Robbin's beloved Virginia. Great stories and lyrics will take you back while the tight band, Thompson's vocals, and fine harmonies (thank you, Timothy B Schmit!) will have you singing along. Take the Olds 88 out for a ride and crank these tunes!

  • Great, fast service.
    author: James M.

In St. Louis, K-SHE 95 has what they call the K-SHE classics every Sunday morning from 8 to noon. This is where they play the music that the redord exuc's do not dictate what we want to hear. One day a few weeks ago they played Brite Eyes and was blown away. I had forgotten about that song since I first heard it. That song alone is worth the CD itself.

  • author: Amanda Brooks

Great CD, perfect Birthday present! Fast delivery!! Great cost!! I will be ordering from here again!

  • This brings back great memories!
    author: Rick WIdmer

My original copy of this album was lost years ago. It was great to find the CD available. This brings back great memories of my time in the Navy stationed in Norfolk, and the Rock scene at that time.

  • Awesome music, bought it for a friend, best gift ever.
    author: carol ann hawkins

Being from VA, this CD really means alot. I have some great memories in regards to these songs.

  • A Wonderful Blast From My Past, But Timeless...a Whole New Generation Should Hea
    author: Beth Angell

Growing up and going to college in Virginia, I had a lot of opportunities to hear Robbin Thompson Band...on the radio, in bars during my college days, and then recently at a reunion show here in Richmond. The band has a great sound that is really timeless. While my Wang Chung records have been collecting dust somewhere in the attic since th 80's, I was still playing 2 B's Please on vinyl until all my "good" records got lost in last year's flood. I was thrilled to find that it was available on CD, and am already wearing it out from constant play! If you've never heard RTB, do yourself a favor and buy this CD. It'll become a favorite, I guar-ahn-tee !

  • It was great then and is great now!
    author: Jody

Having gone to college in Virginia and seeing Robbin Thompson in concert at the Roanoke Civic Center in ummmmm... cough, cough....1983. Well, sufice to say this CD maybe an old one but it is a very good one. So gald to have found it.

  • Ahhh...to be 16 again!
    author: Caroline

I had this on vinyl "back in the day"...the turntable died, so alas! no RTB. To find this on CD was just awesome! Robbin, if you read this, I'm looking forward to September and October...can't wait to see you!!!

  • "Brite Eyes", one of my all times favorites
    author: jl howard

"Brite Eyes", one of my all time favorites - never thought I would find it on CD. Digital remastering = exellent, never sounded this good years ago.

  • Amazing Album, Amazing Times
    author: Rich S

This was my favorite album "back in the day." My vinyl original still plays great, but I needed it on cd so I could enjoy it in the car. I finally found it at CDBaby (what a great site). It has become the cd that stays in the cd player. Robbin, thanks for the amazing album, thanks for the amazing times.

  • he loves it!!
author: bought for my old man

great cd- my husband keep it in his little mid-life crisis convertible & plays it all the time

  • A must have!
    author: Carlton

Lost this music when my Camaro was broken into and they stole all my eight tracks. This was such a find to get on CD. This music was and still is the definition of southern rock with it's very clean production and catchy songwriting. Now that I live in New Orleans it is such a joy to hear Sweet Virginia Breeze and remember those days wishing my dad had a rambler.

  • a worn out cassette replaced!
    author: big daddy

1st heard robbin in a campground on sugarloaf key in 1980...brought a cassette back to the midwest & played it til it snapped about 2 years ago..Im thrilled to have this great album back in working order...great music & lyrics that remind me of a much simpler life, before jobs, visa bills, wives, kids, etc...always a smile! :-)

  • Wore out the record, am thrilled to have in on CD!
    author: Laurie

Used to go hear Robbin play all these great songs at The Pier in Raleigh and in Chapel Hill. Now my 15 year old daughter and her friends are loving "Candy Apple Red" and all the others, too! There's no expiration date for great songs and this CD has a bunch of them. Thanks!

  • Acousto-elecric Classic Americana at its Best
    author: Fischman

I picked up the vinyl in 83 for .50c. Now my turntable doesn't work. What a thrill to find it had been released on CD. "Sweet Virginia Breeze" compares favorably to other great "place" songs (i.e. Sweet Home Alabama, Rocky Mountain High, etc). Brite Eyes and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues are also top notch.

  • I loved the album in 80, and still do. It puts me back in High School 76
    author: Michael Gutierrez

I Like your sound. Easy to listen to and enjoy.

  • The best unknown recording of the 80s. Saw them at the ATTIC in Greenville, NC..
    author: M. Smith

So glad to find this gem on CD...Ive worn out my vinyl. This is one of the best unknown recordings ever made.

  • When art meets expression, you get Robbin
    author: Tony

A great LP from times gone past but still remembered. There is something to be said about an entire CD that even though you haven't heard it in over 20 years, the instant you plug it in you remember each and every word. There aren't many songwriters or musicians who can pull that off, and Robbin is among the best. The rest of the band is filled with talent and taste. Oh, bring me back those days....

  • No collection complete without "2 B's Please"
    author: Rusty

Very enjoyable album/CD. This is the 3rd replacement. Seems someone always wants to borrow it.

  • Excellent cd, brings back many memories
    author: Scott

A must have cd for your collection. There are some great tunes on this cd and you'll easily find yourself listening to it over and over. Get it, you will not be disappointed!

  • Just like old times.
    author: Charlie

My old cassette was getting quite worn out. It was great to hear all those great tunes with digital clarity. It took me right back to 1980, in the Navy stationed in Virginia. There is not one dud on the whole CD. Every single tune is fun to listen to.

  • Great vinyl gets reincarnated.
    author: Roger Kladke

Great Southern rock. Taste and polish. The best elements of studio and live Jam. Brite Eyes a standout.

  • Fantastic!
    author: Terri Long

I loved the vinyl and I have all ready almost worn out the CD. Plugged it in to my computer at work and let it play all day long. One of my favorites is "Candy Apple Red". I always had a sneaking suspicion Robbin played hooky to catch some waves.

  • Brought back memories of some of the best times of our lives!
    author: Linda and Bill

It was a great album when I bought it in college and it is a great CD NOW! Glad to have it again!

  • Excellent cd. Highly recommended

  • Absolutely the Best!
    author: Ron Long

Listening to this CD takes me back 25 yrs to when I used to watch the band when they were touring NC & Va. My tape version was destroyed by over-playing. Now I can live those days again. The prize of my CD collection.

  • just heard of Robbin ..his music is upbeat and heart felt..delightfully rare com
    author: Liteful

The muisc is fresh and very upbeat with warm hints of a soft romantic heart.....very real..delightful discovery!

  • Always Reminds Me of Growing Up in Virginia
    author: Jeff Baker

This was the best tape I had in my collection back in the early 1980's. That tape is long gone and now that I live in Florida, I'm thrilled to find this music available still!

  • most frequent album played
    author: Joetta Auxier

Sweet Virginia Breeze was the first song I requested on a.m. radio. I was in college when I purchased 2 b's please, and saw the band perform many times. To this day it is my most played album, c.d., cassette...etc. because it is timeless. I have worried that I would never be able to replace my album. My prayers have been answered.

  • Nostalgic yet fresh !
    author: Tony Smith

This disc was all the rage when it came out. The songs are easy to sing to. It has your basic rock & roll with some hints of country. You may find you can identify with these songs. I was 11 when the original release came out. Now that I can listen to the cd version I find the music as fresh now as it was then. A landmark album in my collection.

  • one of the greatest of the 80's
