Robert Sequoia began his creative journey as a very young visual artist. After hearing the great Spanish classical guitarist Carlos Montoya in concert, he was inspired to express his vision through music. Sequoia's playing conveys an emotional honesty and sensitivity rarely found in contemporary music. His unique style varies from heart-moving ballads with beautiful, time-enduring melodies, to upbeat, world-influenced compositions. Audiences are consistently inspired by the soothing, harp-like quality of Robert Sequoia's guitar playing and his delicate, fluid touch.
The son of second-generation immigrants, Robert's musical roots go back to his family lineage of Romanian musicians.

I play it for my Rolfing/massage practice, when I am relaxing around the house, when I have company for dinner and even to calm my 5 year-old nephew when he comes to visit some evenings. Transitions are smooth and natural from one piece to the next. It's absolutely beautiful; subtly hypnotic.

My husband & I listen during dinner, I play it while working in my home office & on the phone, we took it along to our our lakefront cottage getaway (imagine if you will the magic and majesty of summer sunrise, glistening waters, ducks & loons with this in the background!). It is an absolute truth that music has a mystery all its own .. and this collection is filled with all that can bring a sense of calm & peace. Simply an amazing musician, this combined with sounds of nature. Pure Magic!

author: Zephyr GraceThis music takes me back to the day I attended his performance back in the 1990's at a church in Santa Fe, NM; song #3 on this cd was my favorite song that he perfomed at that concert. I can still see the candles aglow in that church; we were surrounded by what seemed like hundreds of beautiful candles. Soulful interpretations with harp-like quality
author: KippThe soft, warm quality of Robert Sequoia's playing makes this CD one of my favourite to put on for sit down relaxation or background ambience. Because I enjoyed it so much, I also bought his Bequest album-equally beautiful. My tiny criticism is with the recording quality- it could be just a bit crisper. But, really, the music is excellent. I will seek out more of his work.
