The Rochester Raging Grannies were founded in 2002 in response to proposed cuts in our parks, our libraries and our entire system of social service delivery - and in response to the ever-louder drum beats of war emanating from the Bush White House. Since that time Rochester's Raging Grannies have raged more than 100 times, whether we're invited or not, singing our own original lyrics to old familiar tunes. I wrote the lyrics for the songs on this CD to give voice to our outrage at the Bush administration - and with the hope that we might leave a better world to our grandchildren
