If Johnny Cash got hopped up on Estrogen, shot Mick Jagger, and held a gun to the heads of the rest of the Stones to play a set with him, it might sound like this. Or not. Just LISTEN.

notes
Ready, Steady, Go!
------------------
By fire light we said goodnight.
Moon was rising high and so was I.
Wish I may, wish I might,
were the last words
on my lips that night.
All this talk about being ready.
You say "baby, I was born ready."
I say, ready, steady, go.
I love your false bravado.
You were a shooting star.
I was a hurricane touching down.
It's a wonder we got this far.
It's a wonder we even met at all.
All this talk about looking for the real thing.
You say "baby, you're looking at the real thing."
I say ready, steady, go.
In for a penny, in for a pound,
early on, I knew I was trouble bound.
Then I look at those lips,
and the only thing that makes sense
is your kiss. Your kiss.
All this talk about looking for the real thing.
I say "baby, you're looking at the real thing."
And it's ready, steady, go!
