Listening Non-Stop
author: Benjamin LitmanI recently received "The Girl With The Red Guitar" in the mail and have been listening to it non-stop for the last several days. I've also shared it with several of my friends, all of whom think it's great and that Rosanna has a big future ahead of her.
Featured CD on radioioACOUSTIC week of Aug 11, 2003
author: Zoe MontanaI love this no-frills approach to great acoustic music. I put all ten songs on this CD into the heavy-play category here. Favorite track? Hmm must be "easier eyes closed" - which is how I pick the music... by the great sound, the lyrics - not the fancy label or promotional hype. Rosanna Lee has that honest and true ring to her lyrics, her performance is like a friend in your living room singing only for you.
Girl With The Red Guitar
author: Joe FairI just finished listening to "The Girl With The Red Guitar" and I thought it was great! I picked it up last night at Perks in Norwood. Rosanna's voice reminds me of Shawn Colvin and some of her vocal inflections remind me of Jonatha Brooke- two great singer/songwriters in my view...
This CD is exquisite!
author: Tony MedinaI finally got to hear "The Girl With The Red Guitar" and I dig it! It's exquisitely done in regards to performance...like Sarah McLachlan with a bit more human touch on a guitar. Angelic, heartfelt, yet approachable..
Great show, great CD!
author: Robert CamberlainI heard Rosanna playing at a local place and ordered her CD...I love it!
You, Patty Griffin, and Jonatha Brooke
author: Ed HyattI have listened to "The Girl With The Red Guitar" more than thirty times this week...it sounds as good as Rosanna did on stage. The songs are all so good that I can't decide which one is my favorite. I still have Jonatha Brooke's beautiful voice and imaginative songwriting ringing in my ears from her performance last night at the Barns of Wolf Trap. Rosanna's music fits right in there with Jonatha's. I have to throw Patty Griffin in there as well. Rosanna's album has the same intimate feel as Patty's "Living With Ghosts" album. I haven't been able to listen to Patty or Jonatha much recently because I can't bring myself to take "The Girl With The Red Guitar" out of my car player. I really can't think of an album that has come out in the last year that I have enjoyed more. It's that good.
Truly Awesome
author: LizYour music is truly awesome...I think your CD is one of the greatest in my collection. I listen to it all the time and people always think you are Michelle Branch and then I have to say, "No way, this girl is 10 times better!!!"...
Clever, passionate lyrics with a familiar, cozy feel
author: MazieRosanna Lee's Girl With the Red Guitar is an honest declaration of feeling. Witty, clever lyrics provide glimpses into this singer/songwriter's complexities- this is a emotionally rich CD.
Fantastic voice, powerful lyrics strung together beautifully
author: RayI first heard Rosanna on the streets of Boston this summer. Her CD has not dissapointed. She has a fantastic voice, and very powerful and compelling lyrics. I love the all acoustic album, it really shows how terrific her voice is.
A music lovers treat, swept right off the streets.
author: CharlieThe girl with the red guitar has a flow that keeps you coming back for more. But hold that thought and hit back after track number six, for a true treat over and over in "Miracle". I am excited about the future of this record. It's the start of something big!!
