After the underground success of QB3, New York City musicians and producers Fred Valdez and Christopher Heinz continue to push the boundaries of genre and style with The Autumn Sessions EP, an exploration of jazz and drum and bass/dub electronic sounds. Joined by bassist John Trent and a diverse cast of special guests, The Autumn Sessions EP features 5 tracks that take the listener on a journey through acid jazz, dub, drum and bass channeled through original compositions and improvised exploration.
Featuring special guests Anthony Robustelli (of Spearhead) on keys, Nick Gianni (sax/flute), Dror Ben-Gur (sax), Josh Hajicek (tabla/sitar), Audrey Brand (vocals), and a fierce drum 'n bass remix of Mind's Eye by DK and Vincent Schimel of G.O.O.N.D.A. crew.
It's the New York underground sound like you've never heard before, unleashed in over 40 minutes worth of music at an EP price.

The best album to chill to, ever
author: TiewebSometimes people throw out 5 star reviews gratuitously (is that even a word?). I can assure you that I'm not. The music is engaging, hypnotic and other-worldly.
This is smokin - its some of the best jazz drum and bass ever!
author: Bill - San FranI love this album, the mix of cultures and instruments is superb. You can't go wrong with Root Valdez!!!!
This is the best jazz I have in my collection!
author: Joseph WoodsThis CD fuses the best of the jazz and world scenes from the underground NYC. The guitar is gorgeous and sensual while the drums keep your feet moving like never before. I found the mix of world instruments magical and it hits you deep. The overall feeling is grand like I have never heard before. This EP is a must for any serious music lover.
