Root'n Toot'n started out in August 2005 with Colin Mee on lead vocals, Mandy Stroud on Double Bass and Johnny Vee on Lead Guitar. The trio was formed with the aim to perform their brand of old traditional country hillbilly music at UK Country Clubs and festivals.
From the outset, this lively trio has introduced various instrumentation including their very own "Biscuit Tin Guitar" played admirably by the very versatile Johnny Vee. Audience participation is actively encouraged at their live gigs and at one time they managed to coax 23 people up onto stage to take part with various percussion instruments!
The early success of Root'n Toot'n led to the release of their 1st CD "Raw and Uncut" which has received great reviews and airplay around the UK, Europe and further afield.
In 2006 the trio performed at the now legendary Americana UK Festival in front of a packed to the rafters Cedric Ford Pavillion and have been rebooked for 2007 to appear on the Main Stage.
2007 also sees Root'n Toot'n first trip outside the UK with a booking at The Country Fest in Norway.
