Everybody loves a wedding--especially a wonderful, lively and crazy ITALIAN one! That is why the nationally acclaimed, San Diego-based band, ROMAN HOLIDAY, decided to create the ultimate Italian Wedding CD, filled with lively and passionate Italian wedding favorites guaranteed to fill the reception hall with plenty of "AMORE."

As an added bonus, the CD features a 16-page "How To" booklet that takes the prospective bride and groom, wedding planner, or DJ step-by-step through an Italian American Wedding reception. The booklet describes each part of the reception itinerary and gives a history of the traditional Italian wedding songs played at each segment, which corresponds to a listing on the CD track.

Recorded live in a state-of-the-art studio using up to 25 performers, the musical selections include traditional songs to accompany the Grand Entrance/ Bridal Party Processional, the First Dance, the Father-Daughter Dance, the Mother-Son Dance, the Grand March, the Tarantella, the Cake Cutting and Money Dance. In addition, Italian wedding favorites such as "That's Amore," the "Chicken Dance," and "C'é La Luna Mezza Mare" are included. The CD also includes selections of swing, mambo, and tango music and even gives an outline of how to dance the Tarantella, a definite "must do" at an Italian wedding.

    Whenever we get together for a wedding I always hear one of these if we are at an Italian Wedding anyways. Although I do have the album the songs on here are very nie and natural. You have people like Dean Martin , and Connie Francis both the Italian role models of singing. If you want to have an Italian Party all the way to an Italian Wedding you want this album to here the oldies and "Newies" of the Italian culture to put that fun into the Italian style wedding!

    I am an event planner and needed an Italian "party" CD very quickly for a client group who hired me to produce an Italian-themed event last minute. I poured through tons of CDs of an Italian theme, but none were right. Many were compilations of older tunes without the right feel. Finally, I found what I needed on CD BABY.     I searched everywhere for Speak Softly Love (Love Theme from the Godfather) sung in Italian, for my daughter's wedding. This CD by The Roman Holiday Ensemble was the only one I could find and it was perfect! I am most impressed with CD Baby's lightning fast processing and shipping of my order! I found this CD at other sites but they wanted 3-6 weeks shipping. That would never work as the wedding was fast approaching. CD Baby got it to me within a week!     We purchased this CD to be played at our wedding, and I must tell you, our wedding day is UNFORGETTABLE!!!! The music was sooo lively and we had so much fun dancing the Tarantella. And the dancing kept going all night. The flower girls, bridesmaids and I danced and tossed flowers to "Sciuri". During dinner, several songs were played as well. I danced with my grandfather to "Lauretta". It brought a lot of tears of joy as my grandparents were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary that year. We had so many people telling us that it was the best wedding they had ever been too! And we agreed! :o)

    I wanted to just say that this CD was wonderful for my daughter's wedding here in Trenton. We started out with the beautiful song Lauretta that was the father daughter dance. Then the mother son dance was done to Mamma. Both of those songs were simply beautiful and everyone cried!     My cousin just got married. As part of the traditional Italian wedding, one is supposed to leave a gift at the table to the people attending the wedding. This is usually an expresso cup, picture frame, or some other nicknak that, frankly, no one ever uses. Were we surprised when she gave each couple attending her wedding a copy of this CD. I don't know whether she bought it through you, but I found you on the website and just had to add my two cents. This was the BEST Italian wedding gift I ever received. . .we love the music and will enjoy it, definitely, more than the gilded expresso cups. Anyway, thanks for letting me comment.     I ordered it because i noticed the song"Piccolo Fiore" which I haven't heard in a long time. The singer's voice was great as was the song. "Lauretta" was also on the same idea and done well. The woman who sang "Mamma" killed it. Sorry! Other than the tarantella, I didn't like the other songs. I had ordered two copies to send one to a relative getting married, but I'm not sending it. I was a little disappointed in the cd as a whole.

    I'm a mobile DJ - and I had a last-minute request from a bride to lead an authentic Italian tarantella at her wedding. "No problem," I replied. Hadn't used one before, but, I figured, how hard could it be to find? Ha. 3 Major retailers and 25 music selling websites later, I began to lose hope. Until I happened upon a review for this CD - and the ONLY place I was able to purchase it without having to special order it was CD Baby. Not only was it priced at less than every other outlet had it listed for, it was delivered immediately, and with a sense of humor that I truly appreciated. I instantly e-mailed all my friends and told them never to order music from any other outlet, or I'd disown them. Oh - and the wedding?? A complete success. Started the reception using 2 of the cuts from this CD (they LOVED it!!!) and had the crowd reeling and rocking all night long. I love happy endings!!!

    Our family is German from way back, so we were taken a bit by surprise when our nephew announced he and his fiance Angela were planning a traditional Italian wedding! We hit the internet to try to find information on how to plan such a wedding and find Italian wedding songs for the reception. . .and we found this CD. Honestly, we couldn't have done this wedding without it. The book in the CD took us through all the Italian wedding traditions.     We are musicians, and were asked by a mother of the bride to play some traditional Italian wedding music at a wedding reception. Trouble was, she asked us 2 DAYS before the wedding.
