The Rolling River Band comprises two twenty-something singer songwriters who share a mutual appreciation for great music. Inspired by years of listening to - Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Bonnie Prince Billy, Townes Van Zandt and Van Morrison (to name but a few) - we began writing and producing our own original compositions.
Such is Life is our second album. The follow up to Been A Long Time is a warm, folky collection of 18 original compositions dripping with Celtic soul. Lead vocals are shared between the two songwriters providing an added element of interest throughout.
The album is very much guitar based with an overall laid back vibe - sometimes sweet, sometimes dark but always very listenable.
This album has already reached the I-tunes TOP 40 Folk Albums in the UK store!!! 01/08/2006
So far both Eternity and Time have made number 5 on American Idol Underground Folk Chart, Sunburst reached number 3 on IACmusic.com
A number of other tracks on this album have achieved awards from Garageband.com
We have also achieved Top 40 on various internet chart sites (including Garageband.com) with Sunburst, Time, She was my Love, Mr Butterfly & Such is Life.
Memories has recently been chosen for a film soundtrack currently in production.
Many of the other songs have yet to be entered in charts.

Such is Life
author: alvin o. turnerI have three albums by this group and would be delighted to find they had recorded a 4th. I do not think I will ever get tired of their sound and this is from a listener who trashes 40 or more discs per year, some of "old favorites."
