notes
This CD is not meant to take the place of any Rolling Stones recording.
We created it with great respect for the orginal songs, but with the intention of seeing how they might sound if the Stones had recorded them in an acoustic fashion.
Although no electric guitars were used in this digital recording, every effort was made to retain the orginal flavor of the Stones.(As every true stones fan will note, however on a few of the tracks we couldn't resist the impulse towards a little orginality.)Durning the late seventies, after being exposed to innumerable Elvis impersonators as well as the phenomenon of Beatlemania, I decided a tribute to still another great musical aggregation was in order.
And so in 1979 our group,The Rolling Clones was formed.
Durning the next decade we toured extensivey throughout California and, thanks to our great road crew and our many loyal fans, played an average of sixteen shows per month.
When we became the first Rolling Stones tribute band to ever play Las Vegas, our reputation seemed to explode beyond the boundaries of the western states and we became known in other parts of the world as well.

The Stones couldn't have done better.
author: GaryThe first time I heard the cd I thought I was listening to the Rolling Stones. It's a great acoustic version of the Stones songs. I'm sure Mick and the boy's are proud.
Fantastic Rolling Clones
author: MASAYUKII think this is a completely nice work of art. Beyond description. My heart is always clensed by this CD. No border in music.
Good Album
author: SimeonVery good tribute to The Stones. I saw some other great Stones Bands live in Liverpool on Beatles week, which is every year in Liverpool. Look for the Counterfeit Stones too, they are one of the greatest.
Could The Rolling Stones themselfs have done it any better?
author: Los Angeles Times( Orange County)Instrumental techniques met the challenge as well as Jimmy Lee's vocals which are strikingly Jaggeresque! Simply a sensational tribute to The Rolling Stones!. Producer and lead singer Jimmy Lee along with Ron Boustead who also has worked with The Rolling Stones gave an oustanding achievement himself with his 24-bit mastering skills. A very professional and ultra clean sounding project!
A Great Tribute Album!
author: Jack GubancThe Clones do a great job of capturing the original sound of The Stones album versions of many of their hits. I am certain they are even better in person! The use of acoustic instrumentation makes the album sound as though you are listening to an MTV recorded album of "The Rolling Stones-Unplugged." A fun album for any Stones fan who started listening to the group in the 1960s.
