As one of the tracks says..."On and on and on, and on and on and, on we go" as goes the amazing Mr. McGuinn. What's old is new and what's new is old in a wonderful way. Giving everyone a major dose of that jangling Rickenbacker sound that Roger is famous for is only one of the treats found in this newest release from a man who lives at the edge.....the cutting edge. With new songs like "On and On", "Castanet Dance", and "Parade of Lost Dreams, Roger McGuinn brings back the harmony and guitar licks that satisfy our need for that sonic whoosh while bluesy renditions of "James Alley Blues", "St James Infirmary" and "Southbound 95" gives us a major blues fix. A heartfelt tribute to his friend George Harrison is found in his wonderful version of the McGuinn inspired "If I Needed Someone". As usual McGuinn gives us another new genre of music called "Pho-kop" with a tradional folk classic, "Shady Grove" done in a bass thumping, hip-hop cadence with a mysterious banjo that will make you want to put a sub-woofer in your car! If you need a jolt of 12 string Ric, smooth rich harmony, and enough energy to make you forget your morning coffee... pick this album up and go straight to "When the Saints Go Marching In" I guarantee you will know why Roger McGuinn keeps going on and on, and on and on, and on and on again!!

An unforgetable blast from the past
author: Cathy SilvaThere is nothing that compares with the pure sounds of acoustic music and The Rickenbacher. I'm no great critic but I know what i like and this is music that meant to be. I'm thrilled to be able to find a sound that only R. Mcguinn (and Friends) can create. Roger's voice is unmistakable and unique.
CD is Perfect for Fans of Rickenbacker 12 Strings
author: Mister BillWhile the mix is occasionally a bit muddy for my taste on a couple of the songs, for the most part this Roger McGuinn CD is just right to please ardent fans of The Byrds and that Rickenbacker Electric 12 String sound! A nice mix of traditional type tunes and folk rock originals, this makes a great companion piece to McGuinn's earlier "Back From Rio" release. "Limited Edition" shows how great a recording one can get from a PC-based recording studio; McGuinn strikes a blow for indie musicians everywhere, showing that a major label is NOT required for a great CD! Keep up the good work!
